MY DIARY: CLEAN IN VALENCIA

SUNDAY, FIRST DAY
I was in a pot, waiting to be planted but they had placed me in a very nice place at school with light and water to be safe.
It was Sunday, and the kids were so excited. The moment when they first met at the airport
was amazing. They felt like they already knew each other, because they had been talking
for the past few weeks. Even though everything was a little bit awkward , at first.
Some of them met in the afternoon. There were Dutch, Italian, English, German and Turkish people.
Without even knowing each other, they all started laughing, shouting, running... they even
Kind a started to do gymnastics. In conclusion, they started to get along, but on their own
way.
In the other group There were English and some Italian people. They decided to go to a café to
taste «horchata», a typical valencian drink. Most of them liked it, but some kids didn’t. No
matter what, they spent a great time together.
The students got a special connection with each other, that’s when they knew that this
project would be amazing, and the end of the week , it would be devastating as they had to leave and go on with their daily routine.
MONDAY
The second day, everybody got up at 7.30
and went to school at 8.30, there we had a meeting in the theatre and then, they visited the high school. I could see it very well as I was always there in the School hall.
Later they went to the main square, to the town hall, where the Major was waiting for them.
There, the mayor gave them a brunch and a notebook with a CD They came back with me and some parents were cooking paella for the students.
They were there in the playground until 4.00 pm

Tuesday
In the morning, They went to Valencia to do a tour
with activities in different places of the city.
They visited the Valencian courts, the city hall square and all the buildings that were in the square. Later, they went to the river to lunch all together. That day I was bored waiting for them at school.

They were walking around for an hour and then they went to a theater to see an ecological and animalistic interpretation. Finally, they came back to school by bus. I was happy to see them again.
In the evening, they went home and had dinner with the families.

WEDNESDAY
The students met at the morning at the high school to take the bus to go to Sierra Espadan. When they arrived the guides made small explanation and went up to the mountains to visit my family of trees which is impressive there.

They divided them in two groups one with each guide before climbing the mountain while the guide was explaining the place, when they were at the top the guides explained to the students a game , consisting in going down the mountain and look for the plants that had a red cloth and they had to take a selphie and make a hole in the paper that they had in some plants. When they finished they made a key chain and then they had lunch there and they went home at more or less 5 o’clock.
THURSDAY
Erasmus team went to the Albufera. The Albufera is a natural park very next to Valencia. There is a lake where they took a boat and learnt from our customs and traditions. My species is very familiar with this landscape as I usually grow there. They ate in a restaurant At night they meet for dinner. After that they sang and danced all together. They had a great time
