This book is dedicated to all moms and dads that would risk their lives to save their kids. Every great mom and dad deserves to be thanked for all their hard work and love they give their kids.

One sunny morning, Lily the cheetah was scouting out a spot to hide her four cubs: Melody, Charlot, Olver, and Noah. Before hunting every morning, Lily would try to find an easy meal. If that weren't possible, she would attempt to separate a gazelle from the herd. Therefore it’d be more comfortable and less dangerous to hunt.

She learned to do this when she was a cub after a pack of water buffalo mobbed and murdered her mom while hunting. After that, Lily became super shy even with her best friends. The first time she went outside the house was when she was starving. Even though she feels much better, every now and then she starts to cry about her mom. She may be the only person that remembers her.

After finding a spot to hide the cubs and hunt, Lily went back to check on her cubs, and to her surprise, they were missing! While, Lily was out hunting, Melody, Charlot, Oliver, and Noah where being kidnapped by the lions.

She felt scared, nervous, and anxious but immediately she began to look for the cubs, “Come on you can find them, everything is ok, you can do it, they are ok,” she kept repeating these words over and over again to herself. But the longer she took looking for the cubs, the farther away they got. After a while, she heard a lion roar from a distance, and then it hit her, and she said, “The lion took my cubs while I was hunting. I think I have an idea!”

Immediately, she got to work. "I just need to find something the lions like. What about water buffaloes?" "Do I want to get the buffalo?" She questioned and answered herself. Just then came a herd of water buffaloes, "It is now or never!" Her heart started to beat twenty miles per hour. "Let's go! No, I can't do this!" She spoke to herself in a shaky voice. Then, all of a sudden, she stopped. She couldn't do it. She was too scared; she then started to cry and said, "I miss my mommy." Her Mom would have been brave enough to do whatever she had to do to take care of her cubs.
