Dedicated to all the boys and girls at school who have the power to choose kindness every day.

City Saver
Once there was a boy named Jacob. Jacob was a third grader. He was helpful, thoughtful and kind. Jacob always looked out for his friends. He felt most powerful when he noticed his classmates treating each other with respect. Jacob attended regular class during the school day and this is where he used most of his super powers.
I like games, soccer, math and spending time with my friends.

Jacob was super strong, super fast , super smart and made super decisions. In fact his friends, teachers and even his parents adored him because of his super power to choose to do kind things. Everybody in the city liked Jacob.

Jacob thanks to you our city is bully free! You make my job easy.
One sunny afternoon Jacob saw some of his friends playing soccer at the field. Jacob decided to play soccer with his best friend Ryan, and some of the other kids from class. The boys were having fun. They practiced their new moves and took turns defending the goal. Everything seemed to be going just fine.

A few minutes later Theodore arrived to the park. Theodore was new in town. Theodore did not like games, he did not like soccer, he did not like math, and he certainly did not like making good decisions.

What is Theodore doing here? He hates soccer?
The kids in school were intimidated by Theodore. He was taller than them. He was stronger than them. He spoke louder than them. He always chose who was " it" in the game of tag. The kids never disagreed with Theodore. They were too scared. So when Theodore arrived at the field that afternoon and wanted to play, everyone was nervous.

YOU'RE IT!
The kids were welcoming as they invited Theodore to play soccer. The game started and Carter scored a goal. " Yes!" He yells. " Good score, " says Alley. Next Alley blocks a three goals for her team. " Way to go!" Says Ryan. Jacob can feel his super powers are growing stronger as all of the kids are being super positive towards one another and extra kind to each other during the game.

A few minutes later Ryan scores a goal. "You are the worst goalie ever Alley!" Theodore yells at Alley and Alley begins to cry. She runs off the field. Just then Carter tries to kick the ball, but misses and slips on the grass. " Ha ha another player down, you're just as bad as Alley!" Jacobs super powers are all to charged up. He is ready to spread his kindness

Don't worry Alley, it's just a game and you tried your best.

Jacob walks up to Theodore and says " If you aren't nice to us, we won't play with you". All of a sudden Ryan chimes in, " What you said to Ally wasn't kind." Theodore responds " I don't care, I don't want to play with you guys anyways".
