Once upon a time, long, long ago, there lived a great
wizard named Doouglus the Wonderful. Doouglus
lived in a tiny house with his faithful friend Sir Basil
Basingstoke III. It was a quiet life, and although both
were happy, they secretly longed for adventure. Each
evening the friends would sit by the fire cast by Sir Basil
Basingstoke's breath and ponder a life beyond their tranquil
forest.

One evening, as the two sat eating porridge for super, there came a
knock at the door. In walked a valiant knight with an impressive
mustache.
"I seek Doouglus the Wonderful!" the Knight announced.
Doouglus was startled! He had never had a Knight in his home
before! Sir Basil Basingstoke III was unimpressed.
"I am Doouglus the Wonderful," the wizard replied.
"Ah," said the Knight, "I see I have come to the right place. The
King has sent me to bring you to the castle. There is great misery in
the kingdom, and we seek your help!"
"But how can I possibly help?" Doouglus inquired.
"You shall soon see. We must depart immediately!" the Knight
declared.

And so Doouglus and Sir Basil Basingstoke III followed
the Knight into the dark forest towards the castle. The
journey was long and tiring. They walked much of the
night. Doouglus, however, was filled with excitement!
He couldn't believe that they were about to begin a real
adventure! Sir Basil Basingstoke III eyed the Knight's
horse with suspicion.

Around dawn, the travelers arrived at the gate of an
enormous castle. It's walls were high and thick, nothing
like the small wooden cottage Doouglus called home. For
the first time, he felt a prick of fear. What could the King
need him to do?

Inside the castle, Doouglus was greeted by the King, a stately
fellow with a large crown and eclectic taste in tapestries.
"Thank you for coming!" said the King. "A terrible curse has
befallen my kingdom, and only a wizard of your talents could
possibly break it! All of my people have turned sad and gray from
consuming a red hot potion given to them by the evil sorcerer
Frank! You must make a potion of your own to reverse this
wicked magic and thereby destroy Frank once and for all!"
Doouglus was astonished! Frank was the most malevolent
sorcerer in all the land! Could he truly defeat him? Doouglus did
not know, but he had to try!
"Your Highness, I accept this quest" Doouglus said.
