John Adams
John Adams was the person who defended the British soldiers from being charged with murder from the Boston Massacre. This trial was the test of the United State's judicial system.

John also was the second president of the United States, and made many important decisions for the new country.
He also was very involved in the continental congress. This decided many things such as if they should start a revolution.
Adams also appointed George Washington to be the leader of the continental army. The other founding fathers agreed that he was the best.
Raised John Quincy Adams, who eventually became the president of the United states.
John also resisted a war with the French when they wanted a 250,000 loan and $15 million.
He also helped write the Declaration of Independence, which declared America's independence from the British.

Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson is known as the father of the Declaration of Independence. This declared America's independence from the British rule.
Jefferson also became the third president of the United States, and did many great things for the country.
Jefferson also made the Louisiana Purchase, which doubled the size of the United states, for $15 million. This sparked a war between the U.S. and the British.

Judicial Review was also established while Jefferson was president, which was a great leap for the Judicial system.

Thomas Jefferson also was the governor of Virginia and played a major role in the continental congress.
His views changed many other people's view points on government and changed many people's lives.
John Marshall
John Marshall became the fourth chief justice of the U.S. supreme court. After he became a chief justice of the supreme court, he stayed in that position until he died.
John also served in the secretary of state for the United States in 1800.
Marshall also helped in gaining America's freedom from the British rule. He fought in the Revolutionary War for many years.

Marshall improved the relations between America and France during the XYZ affair and was one of the main people who helped avoid a war between the two countries.
He was also appointed secretary of state under John Adams in 1800.
In one of John's cases, Marbury vs Madison, Judicial review was established, this gave the power of the courts to examine the government's actions and determine if they follow the constitution

James Madison
James Madison came up with the Virginia plan, which wanted representation based on a state's population.
Madison was also the fourth president of the Uited States of America, and made many important decisions for our country.
