The Parabel of the Good Simaritan
Luke 10:25-37

Jesus the Son of God and Saviour of the world wanted everyone to know what God thought about things. Jesus took every opportunity to he could to teach people about Gods heart.
One day a lawyer stood up to Jesus and said "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered "What does the law say?" The man answered "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and all your mind, and love your neighbour as yourself".
"Right" said Jesus "do this and you will live."

"What must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What does the law say?"
"Wait" the man said to Jesus, wanting to justify himself. He asked "who is my neighbour?"
Jesus replied with a Parable which was a story. He told the lawyer “One day a man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead"

By chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side ignoring the man in pain.
Then a Levite who worked in the temples also walked by, when he got close to the man he looked right at him lying on the ground, he passed by crossing the road to walk on the other side, once again ignoring the man in pain and leaving him there to die.

Then a Samaritan walked by. Samaritans were hated by Jews, they were seen as lesser people, and Jews would not interact with them.
The Samaritan continued on his travels and came across the man lying on the ground. When he saw him, he took pity on him. The man was a good Samaritan and helped the man in need.
The Samaritan went to the man in pain and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine over his body, he wanted to help him.
