This book is dedicated to Educators around the world, who have committed to the task of promoting greatness in the lives of young children.

The lives of early childhood are filled with many beautiful experiences. Children begin the day with a healthy meal, to get the brain to functioning. Children then transition into circle time, where the learning starts. At this time, students are saying the pledge of allegiance, doing calendar review, greeting each other, the message board, music and movement, story time, and transition to centers.

Center Time is a favorite of the students. It's here that students get to select which center they would like to play in for the day. The centers include dramatic play, art, music, blocks, science, writing, math, computers, water and sand table and the library. Here is where learning and language begin. The students can express themselves with other peers through play.

The students then clean up and transition into small group learning. Here, the students can work on concepts in smaller groups, and individual help is offered to assist students that may need help.
There is a second story time for the students because they must be introduced to new words to help with language development.

Students transition to outside time, which is the most favorite of all students. Here again, the students learn from each other through play as they express themselves. Students transition into lunch for another healthy meal. Then they, have rest time, and here their brains can rest and absorb the information they have learned.

It's time to get up, and the students have a healthy snack. It's time to move those muscles again with another music and movement activity. Now, its time for large group literacy and an activity related to what has been learned from the day. Now, students are excited because it's time for closing circle; where students are asked a question to reflect on ideas, then dismissal and their day is done.

Cognitive development milestones are so critical at any age-group, and that's why it is essential that we can identify landmarks that are related to cognitive development.
