Welcome to Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic and the capital of South Moravian region.
There live about 400, 000 people.
It is a cultural centre because there are many theatres, cinemas, galleries and libraries.
You can also visit a planetarium with observatory,
a zoo or a botanical garden.
If you like sports, you can go to Brno dam, swimming pools, gyms, ice rinks or use a wide range of cycling trails.

The Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul
is located on the Petrov hill in the city centre. The bells ring at 11 instead of 12 a.m.

Liberty Square is the largest square in Brno.
It has got a triangular shape.
There is a fountain and an astronomical clock.
The clock is made of black granite and it is a bit controversial because of its shape.
Small marbles fall out of the clock every day at 11 a.m.


AZ Tower is a skyscraper. It is 111 metres tall and has got 30 floors. It is the highest building in the Czech Republic. There are flats and offices.

Špilberk castle is castle from 13th century.Later the prison.Today it is a museum and a visited sight of Brno.
It is located on a hill and has a beautiful view of the city.
There are programs for families with children.

Cabbage market is the second largest square in Brno. Fruit and vegetables are sold here. It is located right in the city center.

Villa Tugendhat one of the UNESCO sights.
The Villa was built in years 1929 - 1930.
The familyTugendhat was living there only for 8 years because they were Jews, so they had to leave.

Tesla is a sports hall. There is a swimming pool, gym and fitness centre. There is also a hairdresser, massage and other services. Our school also sometimes uses halls in Tesla, for physical education or swimming.

Old Town Hall in Brno began to be built as early as the 13th century. Now the town hall serves as an information center. There is a dragon and a Brno wheel in its underpass, which has many legends.

Ice rink is in the playground outside Milénova school. It is an artificial ice because it is quite hot this winter.
It is open from November to February.

Christmas tree at Milénova main entrance hall is very high and nicely decorated. The children´ s choir sing carols there.

The market is oganized on the first Friday in December. Pupils from all classes sell their products to the visitors. The collected money is given to a charity organisation.

This is X-mas crib outside Milénova school in Brno.
There are the three kings and the Baby Jesus.
You can also see X-mas star there.
Brno ZOO

It was founded on 30 August 1953.
There are 1568 animals. The greatest gem is the polar bear. Other rare animals are tiger and Kamchatka bear.

Brno Exhibition center
It is laceted in the center of Brno. Fairs and Exhibitions are taking place here.
For example, International Engineering Fair or Fair of Agriculture.

VIDA center is an amusement science park. It's in Brno, close to Brno Exhibition Center. Everybody can visit it. There you can see for example 3D films and science show.

Zetor Gallery
The Zetor Gallery is an unconventional museum in which you can see modern as well as historical tractors.

We live in Montmartre. It is in the North West of Paris, France.


Les Cabarets
It's a great artistic district. There are cabarets, such as Le Lapin Agile or Le Moulin Rouge.


So there are many stairs... and old wind mills!
Do you know "Le Moulin de la Galette" by painter Auguste Renoir?
You can see the Sacré Coeur upstairs behind us.

We love this place!
The panoramic view
We live here, we love our district. We think we are lucky!
Tourists from the entire world think Paris is beautiful. They think Montmartre is one of the best places in Paris. There is an amazing panoramic view of the city.



There is a garden and the Sacré Coeur basilica of course. There are street artists. They're funny.

The Vineyard Montmartre vineyard is small. But it's the eldest in France, can you believe it? They sell the wine (organic) for charities. Our visit is exceptional, we're lucky! You can't believe you're in a megalopolis here!






The village Toulouse Lautrec, Renoir, graffitti artists, writers, musicians... It's a district for artists. There are many bay windows for painters and sculptors.



Tourists love Montmartre, but it's not Disneyland!
It's great to walk around here!

Where is Manisa?
Manisa, located in the Aegean region, is the second most crowded city in the Aegean region after Izmir. Manisa surrounded with Usak and Kutahya from the east, Balikesir From the north, Aydin from the south, Denizli from the southeast, Izmir from the west.
The Surface area of the Manisa is 13.810 square kilometers and population of the city is approximately 1.355.500 people.
The districts of Manisa city are; Soma, Kirkagac, Akhisar, Gordes, Koprubasi, Demirci, Selendi, Kula, Alasehir, Sarigol, Salihli, Ahmetli, Turgutlu, Manisa, Saruhanli, golmarmara.
The capital of Manisa province, located about 30 km (about 20 mi) northeast of Izmir, the major Turkish port on the Aegean Sea. The city is situated on the northern slopes of Mount Manisa (Mount Sipylus), by the meandering Gediz River (called the Hermus River in ancient times).
Due to its location on the edge of the fertile Manisa plain, agricultural produce has traditionally been the major means of support in the region. The recent development of electronics industries has diversified the city's economy. Manisa has both highway and railway connections to Izmir.
The Archeological and Ethno graphical Museums (founded in 1935) contain finds and cultural artifacts from the city and its environs. Celâl Bayar University (1992), named after the third president of Turkey, is the only higher education institution in Manisa.
The current settlement stands on the ancient city of Magnesia. Found 6 km (4 mi) east of Manisa, a 13th-century BC rock carving of Cybele, the ancient Mother of the Gods, is considered evidence of Phrygian or Hittite presence in the area. Held by Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, and then Seljuk Turks, Manisa was captured by Ottomans in AD 1405.
Philadelphia Church
Philadelphia which is one of the seven churches mentioned in the Bible located in Alasehir district of Manisa Province .
The Philadelphia city was founded by King Attalus II of Pergamon (150-138 BC). Philadelphia which was an important city during the Pergamon kingdom period had protected its importance and even flourished in Roman Empire period.
Philadelphia had become a place where the disciples of st. Paul gathered after the spread of Christianity in 40 A.D therefore one of the seven churches of Christianity built in the Philadelphia .
Thyateira
Thyateira is the name of the Akhisar town in ancient times. It is one of the most important settlements of Lydia and Pergamon Kingdom. It was called as Thyateira during the Roman empire period untill the Byzantine period. It is one of the first seven churches of Christianity founded by St. Paul in western Anatolia . A portion of the remains of the that eira city today can be seen in Tepe Mezari in the city center of Akhisar.




SALİHLİ(SARDES)
Sardes
The ruins of the ancient city of Sardis which was the capital of the Lydian Empire today situated in Salihli District. The region has been a homeland for big civilizations over thousands of years . It’s also understood that the area was and important settlement place during Roman and Byzantine Periods.
The first money in the history under the guarantee of State minted in Lydia and Sardes being a part of Lydia civilization became a very rich town with Agriculture , tradings and gold mining in the Pactolos River.
From 7th century B.C until 7th Century A.D Sardes had become an important city in the ancient times with its transportation facilities , governmental improvements and rich gold sources.
Sardis which plays an important role in spreading Christianity to the west and mentioned revelation in the Bible and known as one of the 7 churches of Anatolia has a very distinctive place in terms of religion tourism.

This is the town all of Prunelli di Fium'Orbu, a little town near the sea where our school is located.
Then, there is the little Church St Michel in the town opposite the Square of the Nation. It is very old.






This is the very famous bakery St Michel, next to the church. It is 5 minutes away from our school. They sell delicious pastry, cakes, ice cakes, homemade chocolate. You can also see the Tower of Migliacciaru . In the last picture it's the "Bird Tree" awarded the title of the most picturesque tree in Europe in 2019.
