Jason Fast was raised by his grandparents in their small home, they worked really hard to send him to a good school even though they couldn't afford it.

Jason often is sent out because he likes to walk around and talk during class.

Since Jason's grandparents were so much older than him. Jason rarely had anyone to play with because they were too old to be able to play with him most of the time.

Jason Fast is eight years old and goes to Hope Elementary School. Kids at school don't talk to Jason because of his dark skin.

Jason has a problem, he always tries to pay attention to his teacher but often gets distracted, and ends up getting in trouble.

Although unaware of this, Jason has had ADHD since age four. Since Jason has ADHD his brain works very different from other kids his age.

One day after school, Jasons' teacher called home and talked to his grandparents and Jason overheard them talking.

Soon after that Jason noticed his grandparents acting strange.

Jason then asked them what is ADHD.

They explained to Jason what ADHD is. ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. People with ADHD have harder times sitting still and having self-control.

Unfortunately because they didn't have money, they couldn't afford medicine to help control his condition.

James became sad, he didn't know what ADHD was or why he had it

Jason didn't want to go to school anymore,he had no friends and his teachers were mean

Since Jason was a minority and had ADHD, his teachers didn't care out kicking him out of class.

Jason's grandparents noticed he had a change in attitude towards school. They found how expensive the medicine was, That's when they realized they needed to find another way to help him and his confidence.

Jason's grandparents went on Facebook and asked for alternative solutions.

Some of the suggestions were to change his diet, exercise, Join a sports team, and get a pet
