At 5:00 pm, our plane left Boston to fly to Calgary, Canada,

And landed at 8:15 pm.

Then, we rented a truck and drove about five hours to Apgar Campground and stopped along the way for dinner, and groceries.

The next day we woke up bright and early and headed to Apgar Lookout Trail.

Along the trail we saw magnificent views of Lake McDonald and the many mountains beyond.

At the end of the five hour hike, we were all very tired and decided to go to the Apgar Visitor Center to learn more about the park.

We learned that Glacier National Park is a part of the world's first international peace park!

After that, we went back to the campsite to play cards, and then went to dinner.

The next morning we went on a two hour horseback ride along C.M. Russell trail.

After that, we went back to the campsite until we had to leave for the boat tour of Lake McDonald.

We learned about the history of the lake and even saw a couple Bald Eagles!

After the boat tour we went swimming in Lake McDonald.

Then we went back to the campsite until we had to go to dinner at Glacier Highland.

In the morning, we drove to Avalanche Creek Picnic Area to hike to Avalanche Lake.

During the hike, we walked through a beautiful forest, and when we arrived at the lake, we ate lunch and dipped our toes in to cool off.

After the three hour hike, we went back to the campsite just to hang out for an hour until it was time to rent kayaks.

We only kayaked for an hour, and then we went swimming again in Lake McDonald until we had to get ready for dinner at Josephine's Bar & Kitchen.

The rest of the night was very laid back, and we just played card games at the campsite.

After days full of hiking and waking up early, we were finally able to sleep until 9:00 am to go for a short two hour hike to fish lake.

This short hike was kind of buggy, but the lake where we ate lunch was beautiful.

Then we paddle boarded around the lake for an hour.
