This book is dedicated to all the pet lovers in the world!

There once was a girl named Betty. Betty lived in an normal house with her mom, Lacy, and her dad, Bill.
Everything seemed normal about Betty and her family, but Betty's life was about to become far from normal.

At school, Betty was the school bully and everyone was afraid of her.
Betty didn't have many friends but she definitely had many enemies.
A lot of kids were scared of Betty because she would pick on them and take their things.
Nobody liked Betty. She sat by herself at lunch and sat on the swings alone.
But Betty didn't seem to care.
"I don't need them anyways." Betty thought to herself.
One day, it was Betty's birthday.
At school, no one wished her a happy birthday or got her a gift. In fact, no one even remembered it was her birthday.
Her mom didn't even bring cupcakes to school.
Betty was sad. She wished she had someone who cared.
When Betty got home that afternoon, she went straight to her room and cried.
"Betty, get down here!" her mom yelled for her.
"Your father and I have something for you!" her mom said excitedly.
They gave her a big purple box! It was huge.

"Open it sweetie." her father said with a smile on his face.
When Betty saw what was in the box, she gasped with excitement! It was a bulldog like Betty had always wanted!
"Hi, I'm Bailey the Bulldog!" Woah! This dog could talk?

From that day forward Betty and Bailey did everything together!
They had a lot of fun together and were an inseparable pair.
But one day Betty realized she was lonely and she wanted some human friends.

But Betty had a problem, no one at school liked her! She realized that she needed help making friends so she decided to ask for help from the nicest friend that she had, Bailey.
Bailey gave Betty a lesson in manners and kindness so she could make friends at school.

"First, no more picking on people or calling them names"
"Second, no cutting in line or taking peoples lunch money or their things."
"Lastly, keep your hands to yourself, no hitting or kicking anybody. Doing all these things will make you a nice and good-hearted person."
