Milou Albrecht  is a 15 year old teenage girl who is  from Castlemaine, a small city in Victoria, Australia.  Castlemaine is in charge of administrative and economic centers for the shire of mount Alexander, which is government land. Castlemaine is not only home to government land but also to Castlemaine circus inc, which is a circus arts themed program that teaches people to challenge themselves while doing fun tricks! This is a  place Milou attends almost every year since she was young. Before she grew a huge passion for climate change and world problems she was a huge fan of hip hop and music in general.

Currently the biggest issue Milou faced/and is facing right now is climate change and the lack of action to stop it. Many protesters including Milou, Harriet O’Shea, and Nimowei Johnson,  tried to speak to their prime minister, Scott Morrison, about their concerns on climate change and what is being done on his behalf to solve this huge problem and his response was “what we want is more learning in school and less activism in schools.”  He then continued to go on about how we rather have them focusing on learning and their education rather than debating and turning their schools into parliament.  

Milou was inspired by Greta Thungberg and how she protested against climate change and how she was making a big  difference. She said it made her feel empowered and brave. The suffering of animals and humans motivated her because she felt bad knowing animals are getting hurt and dying while knowing she could do something about it.  She was trapped in an underground bunker for 8 hours when she was young due to a massive bush fire and that pushed her to do research on how to help prevent climate change because the fire started due to a drought and extremely dry air conditions and she doesn't want anyone to go what she went through.

Her greatest accomplishment was helping create and support  Global SS4C with her friends. Global SS4C which stands for global school strike for climate is a non violent, school student ran organization that brings together large groups of many kids from all over Australia to protest and fight for one thing, their concert for the future of our planet.  She also helped with 'Australian student strike for climate movement’ which was a series of protest caused by their prime minister, Scott Morrison, after his comment to “learn more and less activism.
