Why do you torture us?
What happened?
Sea turtles are becoming extinct, all because of us!
That's right! All around the world turtles are dying because of plastic, fishing gear and for their shells, eggs, meat and skin! People must be more careful or in around 20 years from now our favourite animal will become EXTINCT!
"NOOOOOOOO!"

A little bit about Sea turtles
Sea turtles are large, air-breathing reptiles that inhabit tropical and subtropical seas throughout the world. They are one of the most popular animals in the ocean, especially considering they love warm water and can be found worldwide in subtropical and tropical waters.

Pollution
Help save the sea turtles! The turtles need your help, YOU can help them! We need to stop plastic now. It's killing our sea turtles and also harming the environment, over 1 million turtles are dying each year due to plastic in the oceans! There are 100 million tons of plastic in our oceans harming the sea turtles. It's now up to you, it's your choice. Either stop using plastic and save the turtles or keep using it and our sea turtles and environment are destroyed! Which one will you pick?

Threats from Debris
80% of the plastic debris comes from land. It washes out to sea from our beaches, streets and highways. It flows out through storm drains and into streams and rivers. It flies away from landfills and into the stomachs of sea turtles everywhere. Most of the debris is recognizable.

Climate Change & Habitat Loss
Global warming is having an affect on turtle numbers. The rise in sea levels from polar ice caps has contributed to the loss of beach and sea turtle nesting habitat. The rise in temperature also causes changes in the turtle eggs in that there are significantly more females and not enough males. This has caused a decline in sea turtle numbers.
