To my classmates. Thank you for being with me in this journey called writing.

It's fun living on an island! Jensen was a man who lived on an island. He lived alone on this island. There were crabs, birds, seals, and turtles, but there were no humans.

Jensen liked being alone. He had lived on the island for two years after his boat sunk during a bad storm. There was plenty of fruit and fish to eat, so he was happy.

He had no TV, car, phone, or house, but he had what he needed. Instead of a house, he had a hut. Instead of a phone, he had a conch shell that let him hear the ocean when he held it to his ear.

Jensen could also use the conch shell as a horn by blowing into it!
Jensen treasured his conch shell and took great care of it.

One day, a terrible storm came and Jensen had to hold a tree to not be swept away!
Once the storm had passed, Jensen's hut was blown away and he could not find his conch shell anywhere.

Jensen missed his conch shell, so he went off to find it. In his search, he came across a turtle that was stuck on its back.
"Please help me!" cried the turtle, so Jensen helped him up.

After helping the turtle, he came across a parrot whose tail feather was caught under a rock.
"Please help me, for my feather is stuck and I cannot fly!" cried the parrot, so Jensen moved the rock.

After helping the parrot, Jensen came across an octopus that was in a tree. "Help!" cried the octopus, "for I am stuck in a tree and need water." So Jensen put the octopus back in the water and kept looking for his shell.

After helping the octopus, Jensen came across a baby seal. "I lost my parents in the storm and need help finding them," said the baby seal.
"I'll help you find your parents," replied Jensen.

Jensen spotted the baby seal's parents in the water along the beach. The baby seal joined them in the water and Jensen was tired after helping so many animals.

Jensen rested under a palm tree and said, "I have not found my conch shell anywhere." He feared that the storm swept it into the depths of the ocean.

After looking all day, Jensen gave up on the conch shell and went back home to rebuild his hut. When he got there, his hut had already been rebuilt!
