Deep into the forest, where no humans would hike or travel, there lived a small family of ducks.

Theses ducks lived on a small pond that sat under the tall trees, shaded by thick green leaves. The ducks, although lonely, were happy to be with each other.

That was until one day when the family was going on a walk and the youngest little duckling got distracted by a frog that he saw on the side of the trail. His family kept going without noticing that he stopped behind them.

The frog hopped away from the little duck, and as he turned around to get back in line with his family, he was not able to see them.

The little duck began to look for them. He searched all over the place, behind bushes, in neighboring ponds, he even checked in the tippity-top of some trees.

After a few minutes of looking for them, he lost hope and began to cry out...

"MOMMYYY"

The little duck had no idea how to get home, since he always had his mother to rely on directions. So he decided to waddle around the forest trying to find his pond or possibly run into another animal that might be able to help him get home.

He was waddling around for a little while, and then he heard the bushes rattling behind him.

He turned quickly and called out...

"Hello? Is anybody there?"

A big brown turkey hopped out of the bush and snapped, "What do you want, duckling?"

The little duckling responded with a slight bit of fear in his voice...

"I was wondering if you might have seen my mommy anywhere?"

The fox responded with a harsh, "No," and vanished back into the bush.

The little ducking was tad bit discouraged, but that did not stop him from searching for his family. He got back to waddling through the forest and looking for someone to help him.

He met all sorts of new animals while searching.

A bird...

A squirrel...

And even a large deer, who almost stepped on him!

Unfortunately, none of the animals were able to help the little duckling.

"Nope!"

"Havent seen them!"

"No!"
