Edinburgh, Scotland, Europe

Edinburgh is the Capital of Scotland. Edinburgh Castle was actually built on top of an extinct volcano! Arthur's Point is a second extinct volcano here that millions of people climb each year.
Hamburg, Germany, Europe

Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany. It has the most bridges of any city in the world! More than Venice, Amsterdam, and London combined. People who are from Hamburg are called Hamburgers.
Minsk, Belarus, Europe

Minsk is the Capital of Belarus. There are over one hundred fountains around the city. The bison is one of their national symbols. Each year, since 2014, Minsk hosts the Vulica Brasil street art festival.
Hyderabad, India, Asia

The largest statue of Buddha in the world can be found in Hyderabad. The city has a population of about 6.8 million people. Street markets are popular in this part of India, and the food here is prepared with so many spices!
Hiroshima, Japan, Asia

In Hiroshima, people get around using an elaborate streetcar system. When people think of Hiroshima, they remember the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on the city in 1945.
Manila, Philippines

The Philippines is a cluster of islands in the Pacific Ocean. Manila is the capital, and is on the Island Luzon. The name Manila came from a flower. The city has secret tunnels under the streets, some dating back before World War II.
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa

Ouagadougou is the capital of Burkina Faso. The main religion in Burkina Faso is Islam. There is a major elephant reserve located near Ouagadougou where people from around the world can volunteer for extended periods of time.
Johannesburg, South Africa

Johannesburg has been rebuilt four times in the span of a century! It's earned the title "city of gold", and is home to almost half the world's human ancestor fossils. The city is the second largest in all of Africa!
Auckland, New Zealand

There are more than 50 volcanoes in the city of Auckland. The city is based between two ports. That means, in just four hours, you can walk from the Pacific Ocean to the Tasman Sea! Auckland's second name is the City Of Sails.
Sydney, Australia

Sydney is best known for the Sydney Opera House, which has a sail-like design. Cricket is the most popular summer sport. Sydney is the twelfth most expensive city in the world! It has over 100 beaches! That's a lot for one city.
Brasilia, Brazil, South America

Brasilia is the capital of Brazil in South America. At the center of Brasilia is a massive park. Brasilia's climate is mostly tropical. This city is listed as a World Heritage Site.
