Then we travelled to Belgrade by plane again. It is the capital of Serbia. There are trams and we went to see some interesting things.
This is Kalemegdan. It is the largest park and the most important monument in Belgrade. Its name is formed from 2 Turkish words: kale (fortress) and megdan (battle field). It is located at the banks of the river Sava and the river Danube.

Danube is the biggest river in Serbia. You can swim, fish and camp there. Danube is the most beautiful in the evening.
Then we traveled to a small town called Despotovac by car. There are some beautiful things.

Look grandma how beautiful it is. It is a waterfall called Veliki Buk. It is located in the eastern Serbia, on the right side of the river Resava. There is a small lake too. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Serbia. It is surrounded by trees, restaurants and a park.

Yes, honey. It is really amazing.

And look at this, grandpa. This is Resava Cave. It is 20 km from Despotovac. It is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Serbia. It is a natural monument. It is 4,5 km long, but only 800m for visitors. The temperature in the cave is 7°c.,

Inside the cave, there are numerous halls, canals, galleries, pillars and waterfalls. There is red, yellow and white cave jewellery so it is also called "Resava Beauty". There are 4 levels, but only 2 for visitors. We were inside for 40 min.

Look what we ate there. It is a pig on a spit. It is a traditional Serbian food and it is delicious. There is also barbecue and the most famous is in Leskovac. And "burek", something like a pie, the most famous is in Niš.

I like this. It is "sarma". It is a home made meal with stuffed cabagge. It is good with cow` s milk cheese. Daddy drank "rakija", home made brandy.
