July 22nd 3000 AD

I am Captain Mika Quadrant.

I have been through extensive training and multiple voyages to prepare for this moment.

Today is the day I set off on my virgin flight as a Captain. The ship I am going on is called the Rear Blaster, and this is their maiden voyage.

We are traveling with Sola The Unforgettable Space Agency!

July 23rd 3000 AD

Today we will be leaving orbit.

The Rear Blaster is a good-sized ship made from Titanium. It runs on human waste. It has a Portaler on the roof, just above the giant glass observatory, and also has a beautiful garden room along with a room for your pets. I brought my dog Minx with me. There are suction cup feet along with a ball pit and a stabilizer. It also has a huge telescope for the observatory, all with a smiley face painted on the front. What could go wrong?       

We are about to leave orbit; this could go one of two ways. Wish us luck.

July 24th 3000 AD

We made it! Our first destination is Mars. Fun fact about Mars: It is named after the Roman god of war; Mars!

I announced the following to the passengers through the microphone:

“We will shortly be arriving on Mars, please take your seats and buckle your buckles” I crackled.

There was the noise of boots stamping from beneath me. We landed on Mars and used our suction cup feet to climb Mount Olympus.

Shortly after I continued:

“We have landed on Mars. If you would like to head to the observatory, you can view Mount Olympus.”

I heard a stampede of passengers running to the observatory.

July 25th 3000 AD

There is a panel on the ship. It controls the Portaler. It has many brightly coloured buttons.

There is a big dark blue button that takes you to Neptune, and a big orange button which takes you to Jupiter.

 There is a giant red button which takes you to a preprogrammed place, I think, but ground control forgot to tell me what it does.

And there is a whole handful of other buttons that would take an entire book to list!

July 26th 3000 AD

Today I will press the humongous red button.

I am nervous, but I will do it anyway as I am almost certain

that it will just take us to one of the preprogrammed planets.

I will push it now...

...I think I made a mistake.

We got sucked into a ginormous portal. It felt like being swept into a black hole, but less deadly.

It took sixty seconds, a minute, it felt like an hour.

I told everyone to remain calm even though we are lost.

July 27th 3000 AD

We have stumbled across a new solar system.

We are going to land on the planet nearest to us.

It looks extremely icy, like an ice rink planet.

We are the first to discover it, so I report back to ground control. Ground control said I get to name it. So, I decided to call it “Froren” which means "to freeze" in Ancient English, as it is murderously cold here.

July 28th 3000 AD

Today we will go out to explore, I am going to help.

...We discovered that one of the blasters is broken and none of the crew members on board know how to fix it...

Froren is freezing cold with angry orange storms, blood red icicles and snowy blue mountains, exploding cryovolcanoes and neon blue anti-lava.

There is a still, close, solid CO2 sphere instead of a sun. The main source of light is the anti-lava core radiating from inside. The ground is made of black ice and there are gigantic valleys.

We must be doomed.

July 29th 3000 AD

We’ve checked all over Froren and it’s safe. We have found some strange looking creatures. They are humongous in size and have two arms and four legs! They have feathery Cassowary wings, two on each side like a biplane. There is one eye like a cyclops, and it is icy and cold. They exhibit black button-noses and fluffy ears with pale cheng pink on the inside like a polar bear. They display big full puffy lips and boast green spectrum icicles for hair. They’re cold blooded and have stumpy cotton wool ball tails.

They’re hanging around our spaceship quite a lot but they remain silent.
