Sleepy Sheep by Hallie Blair

Black sheep sleeping in the night,

Laying ‘til the sun is bright.

Almost light out, the dawn will break,

In the barn they now wake

Rising up with a wooly shake.

Jellybeans jumping in an old juice jar,

Unwrapped caramels in a row.

Nachos swimming in a pool of cheese

Knotty pretzels tied in a bow.

Fresh popcorn like a new mound of snow,

Orangesicle dripping down your chin.

Open can of pop and a tootsie pop,

Doughnuts freshly glazed for the win.

Tiny Tree

tiny tree

waved happily

at me, like a little child

playing at the park. Whoosh,

swish, rustle; leaves swoop, swirl,

all the day.

down my face as I cried. 

Sniffling as my nose runs 

like a raging river. All 

this stress on my

Making my world bright.

My heart, you’ve managed to hypnotize.

You look so stunning,

A beautiful Juliet,

I feel your warmth, so loving

Our time together, I won’t regret

Our love is a precious jewel,

Shining for all to see,

Like a Queen, over me you rule

I come to you on bended a knee.

For the moment,

we must part

Remember me always,

in your heart.
