Kangaroo Symbiosis
Respiration
-Uses less energy to breathe hopping then when their standing still
-They breathe in and out of their mouth and nose like humans do
-Their breathing is linked to their hopping
-When feet leave ground air is pushed out of lungs
-When feet touch the ground their lungs will refill
Circulatory
-They have a closed system
-There heart rate beats at about 40 bpm
-They are warm blooded
-Blood receives oxygen from lungs and transports it
-Arteries run away from the heart
-Veins run to the heart

Nutrition
-Eats flowers, ferns,moss,insects,grass and shrubs
-Kangaroos are herbivores
-They regurgitate their food
-Regurgitate means they rechew their food before they digest it
Digestion
-Stomachs are multichambered
-Food passes through compartments that are separated by muscle
-Middle of body acts as a fementation system
-Stomachs are large and chambered with long intestines
-Long intestines allows time for full absorption of nutrients
Food Getting
-They hop around to get their food
-They have very strong hind legs
-Their legs help them to hop in order to get food

Body Support

Movement
-Move by hopping
-They hop with their hind legs
-Use tails to help balance
-They cant move backwards

Osmotic Regulation
-Can survive by only drinking water twice a week
-They have accuracy in utalizing water found in foilage
-In colder months they can survive only on vegetation
Excretion
-It excretes salt that is concentrated in the urine to decrease water lassage
-The waste in the urine can reuse substance and help conserve water
-Cloaca excretes feces and urine
-To eliminate waste the organism consumes water ti make the waste more soluble
Temp Regulation
-Kanagroos are 70 percent water
-They only sweat when moving
-They lick forearms to cool down for evaporation
-Go into smaller positions so less is heated by the sun
-Fur is used in colder months for insulation
-Warm blooded
-Hemothermic
Mating
