"Welcome to this world my baby boy," said mama spider. "You will be called Ace."

"That's perfect, he is perfect," said papa spider.

"This world was not made for us, but hopefully through our art and impact we can live harmoniously."

"My sweet angel, I am so happy to meet you," said mama lady bug.

Unfortunately, Koi will never meet his father. He passed away because he got caught by accident in a spider's web on his way home from work.

It feels as though, since the beginning of time, arachnids have not been accepted into the bug community. For example, they have been portrayed as violent in the media. Even though they are all a part of the same community, they are quite clearly discriminated in every way. They always try their best, but when accidents happen, like what happened to Koi's father, the arachnids are seen as evil creatures. They are just trying to make beautiful art. Unfortunately, in this world art is subjective, and it seems that no bug ever appreciates the arachnids art.

Students gather for the first day of high school at, "The School for gifted bugs." This school is quite renowned in the country, and has produced some of the most successful bugs in history. Including the first president bug, George Beatle. high school is a hard time for those who stand out. and ace is the first ever accepted arachnid into this school.

14 Years later...

"Alright, class is dismissed! I look forward to getting to know you all more throughout the rest of the school year" said Mr. Grasshopper.

"I can't control it. I am sorry" said Ace.

"They should have never let arachnids into this school. Studies show they are not as smart as bugs, I do not know how you got in" said Koi.

That night Ace could not stop crying. His family had raised him to rise above the discrimination. However, he has always been surrounded by other spiders and never quite understood how it felt. He regrets going to that school and never wants to go back. Mama and papa convince him to give it another shot. They want him to show the bugs that arachnids are not who they are portrayed as. Ace can be the bridge, but first he must show Koi arachnids are not bad.

Later, he decides that he must hide his arachnid side. He stops making webs and tries to paint on a disguise to help him fit in. However, covering your true self can only last so long.
