Introduction

Some people when getting a puppy they get caught off guard and they think they’re ready to have a puppy but since they don’t know how to train a puppy they end up giving the dogs away. Today I am going to teach you how to train your dog. Are you ready for today's book? Well me and Georgie are!

The first few things you have to train your puppy is lure training. Lure training is when you lure your dog with a treat. For example let's say you want your puppy to lie down and he/she doesn't do it right away. Don't give up just yet. You need to lure train your dog by moving the treat slowly closer and closer to the ground. Go and try this with your dog. and then keep reading. 

Leave it and look at me are the 2 things I will be teaching you first. So if you want to learn leave it go to chapter 2  if you want to learn look at me first go to chapter 3. 

Chapter 2: leave it

Before doing leave it with your puppy make sure to give your dog a piece of boiled chicken to let them know that it is good stuff. Then you have to go into sit position. You can do that by putting the treat near the nose and luring them backward into a sit position. Then from there you go down with the treat on the ground. If you have a small puppy I wouldn't teach them to lie down first. The most simple things to teach your puppy is sit up and lie down. you won't have a problem with any of these things if you have a big puppy. 

Chapter 3: look at me

Look at me is the simplest of all. All you have to do is bring a treat to your eyes and then you know look at me.

Chapter 4: crate and potty training The crate is not a babysitter for your dog. It is where you can prevent unwanted behaviors if they do occur. You also have to crate train in order to potty train. Most dogs won't go potty where they live and sleep.
