Chapter 1

"Hi Rocco!" said Snoopy. "Hi Snoopy." said Rocco. "What do you want to do Rocco?" Snoopy asked. "Well I have been meaning to tell you this for a long time now." Rocco said. "Tell me! Tell me!" Snoopy pleaded. "Ok this is very important so listen carefully." said Rocco. "So it is kind of boring living in a small cage most of our life so I thought we could escape."

"That could be cool!" Snoopy said with a smile. "But what is the plan?" Snoopy asked. "When mom takes us outside we jump out of her arms and escape." Rocco explained. "That seems easy!" Snoopy said.

The decision was final.

Rocco and Snoopy would escape.

Chapter 2

The sun peeked into the cage as Snoopy woke up. Snoopy yawned. "Its a nice day outside." said Snoopy. "Mom will probably let us outside today." "Good morning Snoopy." said Rocco "Good morning Rocco!" said Snoopy. "I hope we can escape today." "Me too." said Snoopy. "Lets see if we can go outside now." "Good idea." said Snoopy. "MOM WAKE UP!" squeaked Snoopy. "MOM WAKE UP!" "Oh boys it is so early." Mom groaned. "Oh you guys want to go outside, why not?" Mom said. Mom carried Rocco and Snoopy outside. SLAM! the door shut. "Ouch! that hurt my ears!" Snoopy shouted. "Here you go boys you can play in the outdoor cage." Mom said. Mom placed Rocco and Snoopy in the cage.

"No! not the outdoor cage!" Snoopy complained. "I still know a way we can escape." "Ok boys Im going to the bathroom, you stay in the cage." Mom said. "Perfect! all we need to do is lift up the cage!" "Yes! we can finally be free!" Snoopy said with a smile. "Ok I will lift the cage." "Ok im ready, im so excited!" said Snoopy.

Rocco lifted up the cage and they both slid under.

Rocco and Snoopy were free.

Chapter 3

Rocco and Snoopy ran of to the back of the backyard. SLAM! the door shut. Mom was in the backyard. "Oh no! Mom is in the backyard!" Snoopy yelled. "Shes going to catch us!". "RUN!, QUICK SLIDE UNDER THE FENCE!" Rocco yelled. Snoopy and Rocco slid under the fence as quick as possible. Rocco and Snoopy panted. "I can't believe we escaped." Snoopy said surprised. "Good job Snoopy." said Rocco. "Now we have to find our way out of this huge forest." said Snoopy. "Snoopy! Rocco! were did you go boys?" said Mom. "I can here mom calling." said Rocco. "Me too." said Snoopy.

"We better start going through this forest." said Rocco. "Its so big!" said Snoopy. Rocco and Snoopy entered the forest.

"Being in the forest is so cool, why couldn't we go here before?" Snoopy asked. "Being in the forest is very dangerous, that's why." said Rocco. "Im hungry, if we were back home we would have food." said Snoopy. "I know, we have to find food." said Rocco. "Ok, this tree has little red things! I wonder if we can eat them?" Snoopy said. "Those are berries, they are very tasty and we can eat them." said Rocco. "Lets dig in!" Snoopy yelled.

Rocco and Snoopy ate the berries.

Chapter 4

The forest was dark and quiet. Rocco and Snoopy had traveled very far. "Im so tired." Snoopy mumbled. "Me too, we should get some rest." Rocco suggested. Rocco dug a burrow and they fell fast asleep.

The sun shone bright waves of heat into the burrow. The brothers both woke up. "Good morning Snoopy." Rocco said. "Good morning Rocco." said Snoopy. "We should find some food." Rocco said. "Ok, I'll try digging for food." said Snoopy. Snoopy dug in the dirt and pulled out some seeds. "Can we eat these Rocco?" asked Snoopy.

"Yes we can eat seeds." Rocco explained.

Rocco and Snoopy gulped down the seeds. "Ok we better continue walking through the forest." Rocco and Snoopy journeyed through the forest.

"I can see the end of the forest!" said Snoopy. "I wonder where it leads to?" "Come on lets go!" Rocco and Snoopy ran to the end of the forest. Cars were honking, People were talking, Birds were tweeting. "This must be a city, "Mom told me about cities." Snoopy explained.

Rocco and Snoopy explored the city.
