Summer! We planned to have a perfect summer this year, but because of the Coronavirus, we can't do much. We planned to go swimming, go to the park, and maybe even the beach. It was definitely heartbreaking! We wanted to do so many different things together! But now we can't! Here is a cartoon chapter book of what we would have done if we wouldn't have this Coronavirus. We hope you enjoy!

Day One: Beach Day!
We woke up early on Monday morning. We both knew that this whole week we would be doing something different every day on the Week days and today was Beach Day. It was the perfect day for the beach. It was cool, but not too cold. And the waves were beautiful. Kara's mom drove us to the beach. It was just Kara, Clare, and Kara's mom. We had brought lunch and were going to eat dinner out. We quickly changed into our swimsuits, and hoped in the waves. There were a bunch of people there! And a bunch of little kids we had to watch out for. We even made friends with a girl who was our age. Her name was Ashley. She was very nice.

We talked to her a lot. She had a crazy dog at home, and she had one sister, and two crazy brothers. We came up with a club name called The Beach Friends. All three of us built a cool sand castle together. It was so good, that some people wanted to take pictures of it.
Here is one picture we took:

Then, we went into the water. While we were in the water, a jellyfish stung Clare on the wrist (this is actually true.). But, thankfully, it was very light. Later, it was time to eat lunch. Kara had a turkey sandwich, and Clare had pasta. It was so delicious. Ashley had to go to the food bar because she didn't bring a lunch. But we ate our food with her at the picnic tables. The menu wasn't much but she still found something. After we ate something, we waited to get into the water. Clare read a book, while Ashley and Kara talked. "I was thinking," Kara said. "Would you like to come with us for our mini summer vacation this week?" "Sure! Where are you going tomorrow?" "I don't know. I think maybe a park or something. I'll ask my mom."

"Mom, are we going to a park tomorrow?" "Yes, we are. We are going to Aquatica." "Yay! So we are going to Aquatica. Ask your mom if you can come." Ashley ran to her mom and asked. "Okay, I can. Where do you want to meet at?" "Is the park entrance good?" "Yep. See ya guys there." "Wait, your LEAVING? ""Yep. See ya!" "Bye!" After Ashley left, the girls got back in the water. They were there for 3 hours. "Hey girls!" Kara's mom called. "I heard that there's a lighthouse near by. Do you guys want to go?" "Sure!" they both said. It took about 30 minutes to get there. It was super cool. We climbed all the way to the top, and we could see the whole beach! Well, not exactly. But anyway, it was pretty cool to see all the different things God created.

After we climbed down the lighthouse, the sun was setting. It was so beautiful! Then, we quickly got in the car, and drove to Wendy's! Kara got a kids meal.
And Clare got the 4 for $4. After we picked up our food, we drove back to our hotel we booked. We quickly ate our food, and then watched a movie with yummy popcorn. We stayed up till midnight, and then we finally went to bed. We knew that we would
have a fun time this week with
each other (and Ashley).
Here is a picture we took
from the beautiful sunset!

Day Two: Water Park Day!
When we woke up on Tuesday, we found ourselves laying in a hotel room. "Where are we?" cried Kara as she was still waking up. "In a hotel room, remember?" Clare said. "We drove to the beach yesterday. Speaking of yesterday, I got sun burned bad yesterday." "Oh, ya!" Kara said. "I got sun burned, too." Today, we were going to go to Aqatica. We checked out of our hotel, and drove on the road. We both slept on the way! When we got there, it was about 11:30. When we went to the entrance, Ashley and her family were already there! Once we checked in we found lounge chairs and put our stuff down. We were all so excited we wanted to get in

right then, but we knew we needed sunscreen. After that we went on Ihu's Breakaway Falls, the tallest one. That way we didn't get too tired later where we couldn't climb the steps. After that we went on one were you hold on to a mat and you go down a steep hill. It was super fun. Ashley screamed the whole way down the hill. It was so funny to watch! Good thing you go down fast 'cause we wouldn't be able
to hear if it took any
longer. It was so fun
going down all the
water slides! After
we rode on about 5
water slides, we

went to a store to buy something. We had to dry off because we couldn't be too wet in the store. And make people slip and fall and crack their heads' open! There, we looked at different things, and all three of us bought
a cup and a key chain that was a dolphin. It was so cute!
After we bought our
things, we went and
bought lunch at Mango
Market Grab and Go.
There, Kara and Clare
both got
chicken tenders, and
fries, and Ashley got
fries, and a salad.

Hi, I would like a hotdog.

One hotdog comin'
right up!

After we ate we went back to our stuff and talked for a little bit and then headed for the rides. This time we went to the river it was so fun we couldn't believe it was already 3:30! Then, we went swimming in the wave pool. It was so much fun! It actually felt like we were at the beach, but no sand, no salt water! Though it does have chlorine. And no pee! Because people ALLWAYS pee in the water at the beach! But still. When they headed back they checked the time. It was 4:00. They decided where they were going tomorrow. They chose to go horse back riding, go golfing, bake a few things, and then hit a concert. We said our goodbye's to Ashley, and told her what we would do tomorrow. It was a great day! why

Day Three: An Eventful Day
Today when we woke up we were tired but not tired enough to not do today. Today, we would do multiple things. We were going to do golfing, baking things, riding horses, and and going to a concert at Universal Studios late at night. We got up, and drove to Put-put. When we got there Ashley was already there again. When we checked in we all got to pick a ball Kara chose an aqua ball, Clare chose a pink ball, and Ashley chose a purple ball. Kara's mom said she would just watch not play. So she kept score for us. There were 12 courses. We decided Ashley would go first Clare and then Kara.It took Kara and Ashley like five times to get the ball in the hole.Clare thought it was hilarious but Kara and Ashley didn't think
so. Kara and Ashley agreed it was because the ground was un-level. And Clare got the ball in 2 tries, they said that was luck not that they were terrible and Clare was really good. After they finished the course they went and got pizza and bread stickes from Little Caesars. The girls couldn't believe how much fun they've had and they haven't even finished today. Next they were going horse back riding. It isn't very far just about 15 min. but nothing much. After they checked in they got to chose which horse they wanted to ride because no one was there. Kara chose a short white one that was named Princess. Clare chose a tall brown one who's name was Ira. And Ashley chose a short brown one that was named Firefly.

It was so cool! Kara went first because she had the smallest horse and they didn't want it to get lost. Then went Ashley and Clare we went around about two times and then it was over, but it was still fun. We had a great time looking at the barn, the time flew by so fast! By the end we were sweating because we had to were pants other wise we'd itch. Since we were hot my mom got us ice cream it was super yummy. After we had our delicious ice-cream, we went to Kara's house and made things! Kara's mom looked for a recipe all three of us could make. After looking at different recipes, Kara's mom finally found a recipe we could make. It was called: the Secret Recipe.

Kara's mom said we would soon figure out what it would be. We started to wonder. After we made the recipe, we quickly ran away. It exploded! It was actually more of a science experiment then a recipe! After that, we made Magic Pancakes. One Pinch of Fairy Dust? We all

exchanged glances. What Fairy Dust? We made the recipe step by step. When it came to the Fairy Dust part, it was actually a different kind of sugar. One with different ingredients we asked Kara's mom where she keeps it but she gave us a tip it was: don't follow the instructions find out yourself how much to use and she walked away. `We then made double chocolate chip cookies! It was double everything! Double sugar, double chocolate chips, etc. "Hey, I have an idea!" Ashley said. "We could have a bake sale! We could sell a lot of different sweets! Maybe even lemonade!" "That's a great idea!" We both said. We made brownies, cookies, lemonade, and Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Oreos. We sold a lot.

Menu: Price:
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies $1 per cookie
Brownies $1 per brownie
Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Oreos $1.50 per oreo
Lemonade 50ยข

They made $45 in total. The girls were shocked at how much they made. When they got back home, they told Kara's mom how much we made. We decided that we could each buy something that is $15 or less. Any extra, we could keep. Ashley bought a book, Kara found a dress and a pair of sandels that were for sale, and Clare bought a Willow Valley Kids book that was for $9.95. After we bought our things, it was only 4:30. Kara's mom said we had been working hard so she took us to Dunkin' Donuts on our way back to the house. Kara got a chocolate glazed donut, Ashley got a glazed donut with strawberry icing and sprinkles, Clare got the same donut as Ashley.
