Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Vallestrella, there lived a princess named Sophie. One day while Sophie's family were on vacation on Paradise Island, as Sophie was looking around exploring, she found something most humans dream of seeing.

"Is that a mermaid"? Sophie thought to herself in disbelief.

"I have got to get a closer look". she thought.

"Excuse me, but are you a mermaid"? Sophie asked.

"Yes I am, who are you"? Sofia answered sheepishly.

"My name is Princess Sophie of Vallestrella, what is your name"?

"I am Princess Sofia of Atlantis, it's nice to meet you Princess Sophie.

"You can just call me Sophie, I have never met a real mermaid before".

Just then Sophie heard her sister Raven calling for her.

"I have to go, that is my sister calling for me, but do you want to meet up tomorrow"?

"Sure, I will meet you here at high tide". Sofia replied.

"Sounds good, bye Sofia, see you tomorrow".

When Sophie got back to her family's summer villa, she couldn't wait to share what she had seen.

"You will never believe what happened today, I saw and talked to a mermaid"! she said excitedly.

"That is wonderful dear, I bet that was fun". said her mother condescendingly.

"I'm not kidding, I really did meet a mermaid". said Sophie in earnest.

"Really, your imagination is running away with you". replied Raven.

"If you don't believe me, come with me tomorrow and I will prove it to you".

The next day Sophie took her sister Raven with her back to the spot where she had met Sofia and there on the rock waiting for her was Sofia.

"Sofia, this is my sister Raven, Raven this is my friend Sofia". said Sophie.

"Wow, your really a mermaid". said Raven excitedly.

"Sure am, would you like to come explore my underwater world"? asked Sofia.

"We would love to but we can't breath underwater". they said together.

"Don't worry, I can help with that". Sofia reassured them.

With a wave of her hand, she used her magic to turn them into mermaids.

"Whoa, how did you do that"? they asked.

"Mermaids have special powers that allow them to do a lot of things". explained Sofia.

"Now that we can all go underwater, lets go explore my underwater seaworld". suggested Sofia.

Once they got used to breathing underwater, they were mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the sea life.

"Wow, this place is amazing"! they exclaimed together.

"Come on, I will take you to the palace to meet my mother". said Sofia.

"Wow I never met a mermaid before let alone a queen mermaid". stated Raven.

The girls were awestruck at the incredible beauty of the underwater palace.

"This is your home"? asked Raven.

"Yes, it is, it's simple but we love it".

"Ya, like this place seems like really familiar". said Sophie.

"How is that possible, you have never been here". said Raven.

"I don't know, maybe I dreamed it". Sophie suggested.

"Ya, that is probably it, now lets go and meet my mother". said Sofia.

"Everyone, this is my mother Queen Athena".

"Mom, these are my new friends Sophie and Raven".

"Welcome to Atlantis, it is a pleasure to meet you girls". the Queen said invitingly.

"Are you alright Sophie dear"? asked the Queen.

"I'm alright, its just everything about this place feels familiar to me". answered Sophie.

"Well, you look familiar to me also, where are you from"?

"I come from the kingdom of Vallestella, have you heard of it"? asked Sophie.

"Unfortunately yes, my younger daughter was taken there when she was little". explained the Queen.

"Why was she taken there"? asked Sophie curiously.

"When mermaid are on land they have legs like regular people, and some humans found her playing on the beach and they took her because they thought she was abandoned".

"I never saw her again". she explained.

"I was adopted and I sort of look like you, I wonder if that was me"?

"I agree, we do look alike, and if this place seems familiar, hmm, I am starting to wonder myself". the Queen stated intrigued.

"How do we find out for sure"? asked Sofia.



"Lets have Sophie take us to the place she was found, if it matches up to the place where my daughter was taken then we will know".

When they got to the place where Sophie was taken, the Queen and Sofia recognized it instantly.

"This is the place, I think I have definitely found my long lost daughter"! exclaimed the Queen.

"Well it looks like your dream of finding your family finally came true Sophie". said Raven.

Just then they noticed what time of day it was.

"We better get back before Mom and Dad start to worry". said Raven.
