School is ready to begin - or maybe it already has started.
Do you have questions about what to do? Are you ready for the best year ever?

?
Welcome to Third Grade.
Your Teachers

If you are ready to get ready to jump off into a successful school year,
let's begin at the beginning!

A stands for ATTENDANCE!
100 % attendance means always
being in school, ready to pay attention and learn. Teachers really like that!

B stands for BACKPACK!
Don't forget your backpack and have to call home so someone will bring it to school for you. Be responsible!

C stands for COMPUTER.
Remember that you log onto school assignments, NOT your favorite game. Make good use of your computer time.
D stands for your DESK!
Keep the pencils, paper, books that you use everyday in the same place so you don't
have to look for them!

F stands for FUN. You will see old friends and make new friends. Have fun sharing ideas and spending time with your friends.
E stands for ENERGY. Did you have a good breakfast? Did you pack a healthy lunch?
You need to remember to leave the snacks for later!

G stands for GOOD GRADES. Always try to do your best. Ask for help if you don't understand something and be willing to accept help from teachers and other adults.
H stands for HOMEWORK.
Always remember to pack what you need for home projects in your backpack and always finish and return your work when due.

I stands for INITIATIVE. Initiative means to use your imagination and common sense to make a change if you see something that you don't think is right.. Are you willing to take responsibility to take action!
J stands for JOKES.
Always try to be kind and sensitive about the feelings of others when telling a joke. Making fun of someone's appearance or disability with a joke is really being a bully.
No one likes a bully.

That's not
funny!

K stands for the word KIND. Kind people feel good about themselves - and as a result they care about others. If you have good self esteem, you will expect to be treated with respect, and you will be kind to others.
L stands for the word LANGUAGE. When we use words to communicate with others, try to use language that expresses how you want people to know you, not to merely impress someone. Will your words help or hurt the other person.

?

Hmm

M stands for MANNERS. You will stand out in your group if you remember to use the words please and thank you and show an interest in the person talking.
N stands for the word NEAT. Remember when we said that a neat desk makes finding things easier? Well, that goes along with keeping your finished projects neat in appearance. It shows that you care about your project.

nice and neat!
