Hi! I am Penny, I am going to teach you 4 very important grammar rules. The Verb "To be" in Present, Past and Future, and also the Simple Present. Let's begin!

Verb to be in Present
The form of the verb to be is am (contracted to 'm), is ('s) and are ('re) in the present tense.
This is how the verb to be is conjugated in the present tense:
- I am - We are
- You are - They are
- He/she/it is

Verb to be in Past
We use the simple past tense of the verb to be for any state to describe a person or situation in the past.
This is how the verb to be is conjugated in the past tense:
- I was - We were
- You were - They were
- He/she/it was

Verb to be in Future
The future tense describes things that have yet to happen (later, tomorrow, next week, next year, three years from now).
This is how the verb to be is conjugated in the past tense:
- I will - We will
- You will - They will
- He/she/it will

Simple Present
It is used to express habits, routines, general facts, repeated actions or situations, emotions and permanent desires.
Here are 2 examples to make it clear:
- The Earth revolves around the Sun.
- He drinks coffe at breakfast.
- She plays with her siblings.

Simple Past
The simple past is formed using the verb + ed. In addition, there are many verbs with irregular past forms. Questions are made with did and negative forms are made with did not.
A few examples are:
- You worked very hard last week.
- She didn't live in Japan last year.
- Did you work very hard last week?


Simple Future
Simple future has two different forms in English: "will" and "be going to."
Subject+will+verb
A few examples are:
- We will play in the park next week.
- She will read the newspaper tomorrow.
- We will go to school in the bus.

Present Continuous Tense

It is used to show an action that is happen at the current time the sentence is being said.
