After an unexpected turn of events, Sam has found herself home from college early. She wasn't happy that her school shut down because of the pandemic. Now , like a lot of people, she's learning how to transition her life to a virtual world. 

I'm taking 15 credit hours, involved in multiple clubs, and I'm trying to find an job for next semester! I was already stressed before having to come home!  

My mom got me a new desk since I'll be doing online school for a while! We had to set up a new work space because my brother, dad, and mom are also working from home now.

Today I have to start looking for a job for the fall semester. I hope I'll be back to school in the fall! I can't imagine doing this longer than the summer. 

MOM! Guess what? I got an interview for the job I applied for! 

Oh, sweetie! That's great I'm so proud of you!

But...uh, oh! I just realized...

I'm going to have to do the interview online! 

Sam, it'll be okay, I promise! I have some tips for how to interview and it will be no different over Zoom!

Sam is lucky to have a mom to help her out! She would not be able to do this without her. 

All you need to do is be prepared. Think of common interview questions early and come up with your answers. Still look presentable even online. Show them you're the best candidate for the job by being professional and explaining your experience.

Have your camera on when you join the call. Make sure your background isn't distracting or messy. Be in a place with good lighting. It's best if you do it sitting at your desk or a table. Check your internet connection before you join. Be expressive in your face when you're talking and listening. They can't read your body language so it's all in the face.
