One gloomy Saturday, two sisters Kate and Mia, asked their Dad and Mom if they could take them to Scare Land. It was an old scary theme park that Mia had found while going on a hike with her aunt the other day. 

"Ask your Dad, but I'm not going to go to a scary theme park," their Mom replied.

 When they asked their Dad he said, "Okay, okay. We can go to the scare thingy." He decided with a grin.

"Oh! thank you Dad, thank you so, so, so, so......." 

"Okay! I get it, I get it," He insisted. So on that gloomy Saturday, a car drove out to the middle of nowhere.

     A little while later..."Are you sure this is the right way Mia?" Dad questioned.

"I think it is," Mia replied worryingly. They drove for a little while in silence.

"Wow!" shouted Kate, "Is that it?" Up in front of their car were huge theme park gates! 

Dad pulled into the parking lot. But something queer was that as soon as they pulled in the parking lot, the huge entrance gates to the parking lot shut and locked!  Dad hesitantly said, "I, I think it does that all the time." The sisters just sat there in silence.

  The theme park looked really scary. It had a huge clown head that you had to walk through at the entrance. Then once you got past the entrance, there was a huge rusty carousal. It had huge creepy clowns, wolves, and werewolves that went around and around in circles while it played theme park music that kept glitching. Mia, Kate, and their dad walked on nervously. After they got past the carousal, they came upon a big sign that said, "Beware, Beware, thy whom go on the snake slide might not come back!" But they went through the gates anyway.

    Up at the ticket booth, there was a person dressed up in a monster costume, (I hope!), that was really ugly. It was a green, scaly creature with long, sharp fingernails. It also had jet black hair with worm looking creatures in it's hair. 

"Hello," Dad said nervously. "Um, we're here to get a ticket for the snake slide," he told the creature. 

"Oh but of course," the creature laughed horribly when he said this. His laugh was so terrifying, and his voice, that it was enough to make goosebumps crawl down your back. "You may call me M., I will be your guide for the park."  he replied in that voice of his. "First I noticed that you, My sir, are to tall for the serpent slide."  he told their Dad. 

"But, I have to stay with my children," Dad answered.   

 "Oh, you will have a marvelous time out here," the creature named M. told dad mysteriously. So the girl's Dad paid for their tickets to go on the snake slide. And he paid for his admission go to a place called Grownups Ville, "where grown ups disappear." The sister's thought that saying was very funny. (Later on it won't be so funny.) The girls then waved goodbye to their Dad as they followed M. up the stairs that led to the entrance of the snake slide.

     When the group got to the top of the stairs, Kate asked M.,  "Have you been on this ride before?" The little girl asked him, "Is it fun, or is it scary?" She talked super fast, and didn't even give M. a chance to answer before she was talking again. "Are there real snakes, because I hate snakes? I hope there aren't real snakes. That would scare me," she stated obviously. 

"Well, the whole point of a Snake Slide is for there to be actual snakes," M. finally got a chance to say. When they all got up to the entrance, Kate and Mia started to regret going. But as soon as they sat down on one of the two slides, Mia on one side and Kate on the other side, M. pushed them down the pitch black tube slides!

    "Ahh!" screamed Mia from one of the pitch black slides. She could barely hear, but she thought she heard M. laugh terribly from the top of the slide. "Too late too go back now," Mia thought to herself. Hiss! A hissing noise came from a little deeper into the dark slide. Mia franticly tried to yell for Kate to see if she was all right. But even if Kate would have answered, Mia wouldn't have heard her. 

Right after Mia called for Kate, something slithered up her leg! It felt slimy and hissed at her! "Ahh, get it off! get it off!" Mia screamed. A snake slithered up her leg! Then more dropped down on her! "Help!" Mia called. But no one could hear her.
