Chapter One

     Hi! I am Sophie. The one in the pink shirt. I have the longest hair so you can tell. That is my sister in the sweat shirt. Her name is Lexi, and boy she can be a pain in the back sometimes. My mom is right behind me. She is the best mom ever. And, well yes, my dad is behind Lexi. He is awesome too. Oh! And our dog, Trixi. Being a sister can sometimes be annoying. Especially when they are on their phone 24-7 (Lexi), and when they are obsessed with make-up and girly stuff (Lexi). We don't really spend much time together. She doesn't even walk to school with me. She used to be fun, but now, she is addicted to ALL electronics.

Lexi says I am the "baby" of the family. She can be annoying, but I know she loves me. 

I yawn. It is Monday! Great the worst day of the week. And guess what? Lexi gets to go to her friends house after school and I have to stay home. But I am staying with mom, so it is kind of a win. She said that Emily can come over, so yay! As I walk to school I wave to Lexi. She waves back! What a surprise! I turn back to see if any of her friends are behind me. Wow. I walk over to her and ask her, "Were you waving to me?" she looks at me like I have two heads. "Who else would I be waving to?" OMG. She was waving to me! "Why look so surprised?" She asks with so much confusion. "You normally don't wave." I say.

"Oh. Well.. see you later." she says as she waves to her friends in the other direction. I shrug as I walk towards the school. I go to Stonewood Elementary. My sister is in 7th grade so she went to her school. They are pretty close. As I walk towards school, I see something in the corner of my eye, or someone. It's Emily! I run towards her and we give each other a hug. "I missed you!" she says as she lets go. "Me too" I reply. We walk to school together. Once we reach the doors, we know troubles coming. It is those dumb football bullies. They never bother us, but they do more than "bother" other students. As we walk into our classroom we tell Ms. Morgan that Jake and is "crew" are about to put a kid upside down into a trash can. She walks toward them and unfortunately, she was too late. Poor 

Ferguson was plop right into the trash can. We walk back into the classroom after the "scene". I was waiting all day so that the end of it can come. As I walk home with Emily, she gets a call. It's her mom. She can't come over today. "Awwwww. But mom-" she says as her head goes down. She walks home by herself as she waves her hand depressingly. I walk to my house, but something shined in the corner of my eye. I don't know what it was, but I hope it wasn't what I think I saw. I gasp. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

    It's a cat! I have always wanted one! I walk towards it, but that shiny thing, what is it? Of course I am going to take a picture. As I pull out my phone, it drops. As I kneel down, I flip! It is a worm hole! All I see is blue. "Ahhhhhhh!" I scream in horror. My eyes start to close, and all I can see now, is darkness.

Chapter 2

As I woke up, I couldn't believe my eyes. A Unicorn! Lexi will not believe this. I reach in my pocket, but my phone is not there. "Ugh! Where is my phone?" I say frustratingly. "Those don't work here. I have heard of those dreadful things before. I hope you aren't addicted to those." says the Unicorn. I slapped myself five times to where my cheeks were red. "Ok. I am definitely awake" I say under my breath. "So... you are a unicorn? And I am a human." I assure. "Mhmm." the unicorn replies. 

"What's your name?" I ask 

"Oh. How rude of me. I am Uni." She says.

"I am Sophie. Nice to meet you. Ummm... where am I?" I ask in wonder. "You are in a different universe. It is called The Land of Wonder. Do you need a place to stay? I have a place. It's just me."

She leads me to the place. She shows me a mushroom. I gasp, and before my eyes I don't see a mushroom, I see a dreamhouse in the shape of a mushroom. A massive mushroom.

Before she could even say come in, I race into the house and jump around EVERYWHERE. "Be careful not to bre-" all you can hear now was the sound of glass shattering to the ground. "Sorry" I say with guilt. 

"That's ok." She replies frustratingly. She comes inside and we have a cup of tea together. "So how did you end up here" She asks. 

"Well..." I tell her the whole story. 

"Wow." She says with shock in her eyes. 

"I wonder how Lexi is doing." I say.

"Who?"

"My sister. She is at her friends house right now."

Meanwhile......

"Bye!" says Lexi as she walks out of her friends house heading home. "I wonder how Sophie is doing?" she thought. She had something in her mind telling her to run home. As she open the door to her house, she saw her mom and dad panicking on the phone. It's the police! Oh no! "Where is Sophie?" Lexi asked in confusion. As her mom gets off the phone she replies. "Sophie is lost. We can't find her."

Chapter Three

    Sophie was nowhere to be seen. They went searching everywhere, but they just couldn't find her. Even the police couldn't seem to find her. Lexi was even getting really worried. While her parents split up around the town, she stayed home, and made several phone calls. She went around the neighborhood, to front doors. When she was on her way back she saw a shine in her eyes. And same with Sophie. The cute cat and the wormhole next. She had no idea what was happening.

"Ahhhhhhh!" she screamed. Her eyes started to close, and then there was darkness. "Lexi! What are you doing here!?" I said as Lexi woke up. "Trying to find you." she replied in relief. She gave me a big hug. It felt good. "How did you know where I was?" I asked as we let go. 

"Well let's just say it started..." her voice trails off. I am thinking. If I only got here one way..... "Cat." we both say. "How did you-" we both start. Then we stop. I lead her to Uni's house. "So what is this place anyways?" Lexi asks. She is taking this a lot better than I expected. I mean, my sister- Lexi- would be crying her eyes out because there is no service here. I should warn Uni, but first, let me ask her and see her response. "So how do you feel about no 

service?" I ask her waiting for a scream. 

"Fine." she responds calmly. I stop in my tracks. "Why did you stop?" she asks. FINE! She throws a temper tantrum in the car if the hotspot disconnects for 2 minutes! "WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH LEXI?!?!" I yell in her face. She gives me that two headed look again. "Jeez, calm down. What do you mean?" she tells me. 

"I mean, the real Lexi wouldn't just say FINE if she had no service. In fact, the Lexi I know would get upset because she loses ONE BAR on her internet." I respond. 

"Well what if the real Lexi changed, and thought - for once in her life- that technology isn't the world. If I lose it, then so what? YOU are way more important than ANYTHING in the world. Now, where is this Uni's house?" she tells me as she walks in the direction.

I am frozen for like five minutes after what she said thinking that after this day - if we make it out of here- our life will be different. Once I unfreeze, Lexi is already at Uni's. "Sick place, dude." She says. I whisper in her ear. "That's a girl." 

"Oh, umm... sick place, dudette." She says with her face twisted. 

"Dudette?..... Smooth." I tell her sarcastically.

"And you are?" Uni asks her. 

"Oh I am Lexi. Sophie has probably told you about me before."

"Yeah, I have heard of you. A lot about you." she responds. 

"OH!!!!!! Mom and dad! And the cops!" says Lexi with her face in surprise. "What about them?" I ask her. 

"They set up a search party and my phone is at the wormhole!" She alerts. "We need to go to the wormhole." I say. "But how?"
