             JOURNEY

There are two children,Elvin and Tuna, in a small village.One day, they win a ticket and they have a chance to go wherever they want with it.So they become excited and the journey begins.

ÖZLEM AYKAN CUMHURİYET PRIMARY SCHOOL

Everything is ready for their journey.

They take their suitcases and their maps.They are really excited.

Tuna says "Elvin ,it is time to go .Our train is here .Come on.

Elvin says " Tuna,I am coming .Goodbye rabbits,goodbye our village ,The dream journey is starting.

TAMARA CARREİRA ASTRAY

Their first stop is in Santiago de Compostela, a city in the northwest of Spain. Tuna sees lots of pilgrims. Following them, they see a beautiful cathedral. Suddenly, it starts to rain. "Quick", says Elvin, "Come this way". They go under a stone arch where someone is playing a bagpipe. When, it stops raining they have lunch in a local restaurant. They love the octopus. Finally, they go back to the station. Where will they go next?

Elvin and Tuna arrive in Romania. Here they are amazed by the beautiful landscapes. They visit the Peleș Castle, which is in Sinaia. Peleș Castle is one of  the greatest castles in Europe. It is one of the most visited places in Romania. There are many other beautiful places to visit: Sighișoara, The Danube Delta, Maramureș. The children are delighted by Romania.

Elvin and Tuna decide to spend some more time in Romania.

" We can have a walk in these gorgeous mountains", says Elvin. I know they are called The Carpathians and are home  for the largest European populations of brown bears, wolves, chamois, and lynxes. I really love animals."

"Or, we can have a bath in the Black Sea, and later eat some delicious fish."

Going on  a "gondola" through Venice  is fantastic!

 Elvin and Tuna decide to go in Italy. Tuna says: "We can go and visit a lot of beautiful towns in Italy. In the NORTH OF ITALY, there is VENICE. It's fantastic. We can have fun with the "gondola" and visit the town through the canals, water streets.". Elvin says: "In the SOUTH OF ITALY, there is NAPLES. Here you find the best pizza of the World." They decide to visit also POTENZA, it's a small town in the south of Italy, Basilicata Region, but there are so beautiful mountains to vist, full of flowers, plants and animals.

BEATA GALAZKA 

The next stop on this exciting journey is Kraków in Poland. This historical city was once the capital of Poland and the residence of the kings and queens. Here Elvin and Tuna visit the monument of the Wawel Dragon, which breaths fire and they learn its legend. Next, the children feed  pigeons on the Old Town Square and say 'Hello' to the legendary Lajkonik, which is the symbol of Kraków. 

They also try yummy pretzels. What a fantastic day. 

KATARZYNA ORKİSZEWSKA

Poland is so beautiful country, so we dicided visit Poznań too. Poznań is a city located on the Warta River in west-central Poland, in the Greater Poland region. It's a beautiful place with renaissance Old Town and an important cultural centre with traditional Saint Martin's croissants and a local dialect.

We have more places to visit in the world, so thank you Poland for your hospitality. What a lovely time :) 

YASEMİN TÖREN

Tuna says “I saw fantastic photos of Turkey. What about visiting Turkey?” Elvin answers “Great idea!” Then they decide to go to Istanbul. 

Tuna is interested in historical places. So they visit Hagia Sophia, it was a church, mosque, museum chronologically and today it is a mosque again. 

Then they visit Topkapı Palace – a fantastic historical museum-. They sit on a bench on Sultan Ahmet Square and feed the pigeons. Elvin says “I am hungry like pigeons.”

Finally they go to a restaurant with the view of Bosphorous and eat great Turkish Kebab. They are full now and ready to go on.

SERPİL KURTCU

                                     Elvin and Tuna are very tired,

                                               but they like travelling and                                                            seeing different places. 

                                               They talk and decide where

                                               to go.Yes,It's time to go.

                                               Because adventure goes on!

                                               So,they come Eskişehir,in 

                                               Turkey.  Elvin says"Let's go 

                                                fairy tales castle". Tuna says                                                          let's go nearby Porsuk River,

                                                İt's fantantic.

YEŞİM KESKİN

Tuna and Elvin arrive in Cappadocia. Elvin says"Tuna ,Look at the sky! Hot air balloons! Let's get on the hot air ballon.Tuna says" Ok ,Let's do it . They are  wonderful" . Tuna and Elvin get on the hot air ballon and begin to watch the view of Cappadocia. They scream happily and say "'Fairy Chimneys ,  Amazing ! " They are happy and they continue their journey by hot air balloon to a new city, to Tekirdağ. 

ÖZGÜL YONAR  SİMAV ATATÜRK PRIMARY SCHOOL

They collect unforgettable memories in Tekirdağ. Elvin and Tuna get a little tired on this long but wonderful trip but have a lot of fun. Before they leave, they rest and talk about how to get to the next country. They decide to go to Croatia by caravan. They rent a small but nice caravan. Thus, they will be able to take a break wherever they want on their way to Croatia. And they will continue to meet hospitable people and discover new places.

DANIJELA SAJTAR

Tuna and Elvin visit Croatia. They come to Dubrovnik. The most important city for the Croats. Dubrovnik is the pearl of the Adriatic see. They visit the places where the Games of Trones was filming. They have great time there but they have to continue their trip.

BOZHIDARKA KATARDZHIEVA

Elvin and Tuna leave for Bulgaria.They get off at the train station in the capital Sofia.They tour St. Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral ,the synagogue and the mosque which are located close to each other at the center.They get on the bus and they are in 30 minutes in Bozhurishte,a small town in the west of Sofia.They walk among the beautiful center and look at the frescoes of the famous artist Dimitar Kazakov-Nero.

ALEKSANDRA KRSTOVSKA

Right after they leave Bulgaria, here they are in the neighbouring country Macedonia. Macedonia is a country of sacred mysteries & unique beauties, that has no sea access, no world-wide known ski resorts, but it has wonderful lakes, untouched mountains, tasty food, great history & wealthy cultural heritage. Macedonia is the fatherland of the Cyrillic script and of the first Slavic University in the world, homeland of Alexander the Great and Mother Teresa. So here they are Elvin and Tuna in the center of the capital Skopje visiting the Memorial House of Mother Teresa.

GUNEL MAHMUDOVA

They are curios about another countries and they want to see different places. Now it is time to go to  'Azerbaijan' which is often called land of fire.

Fire has always been one of the symbol of the country,reflected in the amazing Flame Towers.They make preparations and get on the bus for new amazing beginnings.

GUNEL MAMMADOVA

After coming Azerbaijan Tuna and Elvin decide to visit capital city Baku.They go to Boulvard,Maiden Tower, Iceri Shahar and see many historical places.They are very astonished seeing the beauty of Baku.At last they get hungry and want to eat something. But they don't have enough money to buy  that's why they come one of the houses and knock the door.An old woman open the door and they guest here for a night.They eat and rest here.The next day they are looking forward to a great adventure.

SEMİHA ERUYANIK

Elvin and Tuna have so marvellous times in Bakü.The breadth and depth of the travel memories they collect through the days are amazing.After having a rest, they have to decide their new route.They choose an interesting place.They decide to go there by plane. Elvin looks at a map and a long jouney to Georgia waits them.It is time to set off for Georgia

SALOME ASATIANI

Tuna and Elvin have just visited Georgia. They are amazed by its significant view and nature. They decide to visit one of the oldest city, Kutaisi. They walk to "Sataplia Cave"(honey place Georgian tapli- means honey)where they see the footprints of dinosaurs. They take many photos with the dinosaur skeletons. In the evening Tuna and Elvin taste Georgian traditional meal "Khachapuri"-cheese bread. They really fall in love with it.

ZORANA ALEKSIC

After Georgia and their delicious cheese bread, Tuna and Elvin arrive to Serbia. There are so many things that they want to see and do in Serbia but they decide to visit the medieval fortress '' Golubac'' (pigeon fortress)  to spend the morning with knights and enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube river. They also visit archeological site ''Lepenski Vir'' that is near Golubac fortress, and learn a lot about life in Mesolithic  period.

TATİANA DİATLOVA 

And now we are in Ukraine!

You are welcome, dear friends! Nice to see you in Kyiv. Kyiv is the capital of our country. It stands on the river Dnipro.The symbols of Ukraine are a snowball tree and a stork. You can taste our national dishes: delicious borsch and vareniky. It's a pity that you cannot stay with us.

Elvin and Tuna are so curious about the north of Turkey.They decide not to finish their travels without visiting the plateaus of the Black Sea, breathig its beautiful air and tasting wonderful food.They are fascinated by its unique nature.A few days they rest well...    Now it's time to go for the last stop...

Do readers have an idea where we are now?'

After visiting 11 different countries and 5 differents cities in Turkey, Tuna and Elvin turn their way to their village. But what is that? A Journalist from Alanya hears these two crazy travelers' magic journey and he wants to make an interview with them.

Tuna and Elvin find themselves in a hotel in Alanya unexpectedly.

'I don't think so, Tuna.' (Elvin giggles)

They are really happy and excited in their beds now for tomorrow's interview.

Perhaps a new journey will begin for Tuna and Elvin. Who knows?
