Ever have to move states and think your life is over? I'm Katt, a female soccer star living in Ohio. My life has been a dream. I love my all female soccer team and this year as a Freshman in high school, I made the varsity team.

Things in Ohio were going so well. My soccer team was on the way to winning the state championship game and I was going to lead the way. That was until my dad, a United States Army soldier came back from training with devastating news. He had orders to move to Colorado. Within 2 months I was moving, leaving my team, my friends, and my life behind.

We made it to Colorado and I immediately was missing Ohio. The air was way colder, the elevation was high, and the roads were hilly. The mountains were beautiful and I was told to prepare for many trips up them. Still nothing prepared me for the next biggest shock of my life when I arrived at school the next day.
I received my class schedule and was sent to my homeroom. I made a few new friends right away and was anxious to have a soccer ball at my feet and grass stains on my shorts. At lunch I asked the girls who the soccer coach was and that is when I received the most horrifying news of my life. The school had no soccer team.

I spit out my milk and thought my life was over. This had to be a nightmare I hadn't woken up from. What was a girl to do without soccer? I was told an option would be to join the football team since they were looking for a kicker. Football is a guys sport and there are no female football players. I however, decided this may be my only shot at not losing my love for kicking a ball.
