The New Deal can be summed up by three R's: Relief, Recovery and Reform.  The purpose of the New Deal was to take America out of the Great Depression, and ultimately recover from the results of the Great Depression. Roosevelt was hoping to get government plans to help everyone out of the Depression.

The Bank Act Of 1933 was when the FDIC was created. The Act restored faith in the banking system for many reasons. One was it separated commercial banking from investment banking

The SEC was made in 1934 following the stock market crash in the 20's. It made the companies post important information about themselves. It also controlled the activities of  stockbrokers and other people that invested into businesses. 

The National Industrial Recovery Act was designed to regulate for fair wages and prices to fix the economy. . Also guaranteed workers the right to organize and bargain collectively.  

The NRA was was made in 1933. The goal was to eliminate cutthroat competition. It did this by bringing the industry, labor and government together. It also made minimum wage and maximum hours. It also established the PWA, which oversees construction projects. 

The AAA reduced crop production and raised crop prices, because of the dust bowl. They thought that if less crops were reduced the demand for crops demand. They also bought the land of the farmers where they weren't planting crops so they didn't lose money.

The TVA was established in 1933. They were asked to deal with the problems facing valleys, such as flooding, and providing electricity to homes. Dams provided flood prevention and some electricity to some of the states and also provided some much needed jobs to the area. 

The FHA was established in 1934. The goal was to facilitate home financing, improving housing standards. It was also made to increase employment into the home construction industry in the aftermaths of the Great Depression.
