Mother Teresa will forever be known as one of the most selflessly caring people in the world. She was born on August 26, 1910, in Skopje Macedonia. She knew since a child her soul was born to provide miracles.

Her real name is Agnes and she was the youngest of her siblings. She lived with her mother, father, sister Aga, and brother Lazar.
She had a comfortable childhood. Her father was a wealthy merchant who traveled from Macedonia to Romania. Mother Teresa might have had everything she wanted but still felt an aspect of her life was missing.
At the young age of 18, she decided to leave her home and pursue her dreams of becoming a nun. Traveling around the poorest parts of India, Mother Teresa and her new sisters were able to help many people in need. This organization was known as the Sisters of Loreto.
Mother Teresa lived a unique life as a nun giving back to the world. She taught at St Mary's High school and continued her expeditions with the Sisters of Loreto, but for Mother Teresa, this wasn't enough.
She missed traveling around India and helping the poor. Although Mother Teresa had a feeling she was meant to travel she knew God would guide her.

During this time her connection with God had gotten so strong she was able to communicate with him. One day she was given a signal from Jesus to devote her life to caring for the "poorest of the poor."
After teaching for 2 years she was granted permission to leave St Mary's to advance on to greater challenges. Mother Teresa was capable of many skill, so it was no surprise God had significant intensions for her. Therefore, after her many signals for Jesus, she decided to move to Calcutta.
Calcutta was home to the poorest people in the world. Children were hungry and uneducated. These sick children touched so deep into Mother Teresa's heart that she worked nonstop until she managed to build an open-air school from absolute scratch.
Watching the joy she granted to the families during her project reinsured her that God was guiding her to the proper path.

With no outside funs, this project accumulated loads of attention from the public. People saw Mother Teresa as an angel on earth and translated their respect for her with loads of donations.
The infinite donations and support Mother Teresa was receiving allowed her to start many more projects like the school in Calcutta. This expansion in supplies appeared to be a good thing at first but brought on many obstacles for the future.
She had to develop a system allowing for an equal distribution of the supplies to assist as many people in need as possible. Throughout her travels, it became so difficult for her to constantly see the tragic conditions some families were living through. She started to lose the faith Jesus put in her.
Mother Teresa losing touch with God became one of her most difficult obstacles to overcome. After dedicating so much of her life to God she began to lose herself while he slowly dissolved out of her life.
The confusion brought on by this catastrophe drove Mother Teresa to write her feelings. An entry that would later be published as "Come, Be My Light." really captured the pain she was going through.
She writes, "In my soul I just feel that terrible pain of loss, of God not wanting me, of God not being God, of God not really existing."

Even though the absence of God in Mother Teresa's life was taking a mental toll on her, she continued to preach to others about God's love. Although some might argue that this was hypocritical, I think this showed how dedicated of a nun she actually was.
