I dedicate this book to all the people who went through the Great Depression and the kids who wish to learn about it.

In a time like no other, four superheroes have a task to demolish a terrible monster. His name, the Great Depression. The Great Depression was a worldwide monster who swept the land in economic destruction and was a prime villain during the 1930s.

The Great Depression created the Great Crash, a sharp decline of U.S. stock market values, and people became known as hoboes because they were homeless and were forced to live in shantytowns they built. These towns were named Hoovervilles because they blamed their president, Herbert Hoover, for everything that happened. People lost their jobs and many went foodless and became sick.
American politician, businessman, engineer, and 31st President, Herbert Hoover worked with our four superheroes to try and eliminate the Great Depression, but Hoover wasn't so much a great President and didn't agree with the ways the superheroes wanted to solve the issue. This caused issues for the people.

During Hoover's term, two important dates happened. Black Tuesday (October 29, 1929) and Black Thursday (October 24, 1929). Black Tuesday was the day that the New York Stock Exchange completely collapsed and many lost their money and the economy dropped with it. This day was a huge start to the Great Depression. Black Thursday was the day panicked investors sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunging.

Herbert Hoover chose to beat the monster, the Great Depression, in a not so smart way, and with that, he started to lose the people too. Many were getting angry and losing hope. A group of demonstrators and WW1 veterans, called the Bonus Army, got together and went to Washington D.C. to demand early cash redemption for their service certifications.

Thankfully, Franklin D. Roosevelt came along. Also known as FDR, he was elected as the 32nd President and he agreed with the superheroes' ideas and made his ideas into a set called the New Deal. The New Deal was a much of economic measures taken to help reshape the economy during and after Great Depression.
