Once upon a time there was a Peacock princess named poppy

Now poppy was SUPER excited because it was the time of year that Peppy princess pageant! And she was finally old enough to enter.

“POPPY!” Her mother Queen Priscilla called. “TIME FOR BREAKFAST!”

“COMING!” Poppy answered back.

“So Poppy” her mother said. “Are you excited for your first year entering the Peppy Princess pageant.”

“I’ve been waiting for this day since I was small.” “So of course I’m excited!” Poppy exclaimed 

“I remember my first time entering the pageant when I  was your age.” Said her older sister Maya. “I even ended up winning”  

“Do you think I’ll win Maya?” Asked Poppy” 

“If you believe it” Maya replied. 

“Now come on. The pageant starts in an hour and we need to get there early since it’s being held in our kingdom this year” Peony said

“We’re here” Maya announced. 

“Yay!” Poppy shouted.

“Hey, Maya?” Poppy asked 

“Yes? Said Maya.

“Are you gonna enter the contest?” Poppy asked.

“No.” Maya replied. 

“I’ve won enough times” Maya said.
“6 years in a row in fact.” She added

“It’s time for someone else to win.”

“Besides I’m a judge.” Maya said 

“Anyways, we should get going the pageant will start in 40 minutes” 

“We’re here” Maya announced

“This  is where they’re holding the pageant!?!” Poppy exclaimed. “Yes?” Said Maya. “Why do not like it?” 

“Like it? I love!” Poppy shouted. 

“Well that’s good.” Maya said relieved. 

“Anyways, here comes the next contestant” Maya said.

It was Poppy’s childhood Friend, Princess Autumn of the Nature kingdom 

“Autumn is that you?” Poppy said in delightful surprise. “Of course it’s me bestie. And I come bearing bad news” 

“What is it?” Poppy said worriedly

“Princess Belinda of the snake kingdom entered the pageant.” Autumn said with a sigh. “Oh no” Poppy gasped. “And your mom let her?” 

“And your mom let her?!” Poppy said shocked. For the Snake kingdom was under the rule of the Nature kingdom 

“She had to” Autumn said sadly.

“Belinda threatened to overthrow her if she didn’t let her enter.”

“Well, well, well” said a voice.

It was princess Belinda of the snake kingdom. 

“Look who it is” 

“Princess Poopy and Princess Au-dumb” 

“Hello Belinda” Poppy and Autumn said gloomfully.

“What are you  brats doing here?” Belinda said in a mean tone. 

“Oh don’t tell me you actually entered the pageant?”

Belinda said with wicked laugh. 

“As matter of fact we are” Poppy said boldly.

“Well if I were you I wouldn’t hold my breath on winning” Belinda said 

“Oh, yeah?” 

“And why is that?”Maya said in question 

“Because everyone knows I’m going to win!” Belinda said proudly.

“We’ll see about that” Poppy said 

“Anyways we should all get going” 

“The pageant is gonna start soon” 

“Welcome boys and girls 100th annual Peppy Princess Pageant” The announcer called.

“Here are this year’s contestants: Princess poppy of the Peacock kingdom 

Princess Autumn of the Nature kingdom 

And finally Princess Belinda of the snake kingdom 

“And since this is the 100th anniversary of the Pageant the prize this year is a 3 day and night stay in the palace at the mother kingdom suggested by the princess of the land Princess Dawn”

“There will be four rounds in each round the contestants will have to complete a task. Whoever completes the task the best will be crowned the winner of that round. And whoever has the most point by the end of the pageant will be declared the winner! So without further ado LET THE PAGEANT..... BEGIN

“The first round is simple Each contestant must try to persuade the the dragon to leave its nest with only the instrument of your choice whoever the judges think is the best will be the winner.”

First up: Princess Autumn of the Nature kingdom.

Now, I’m gonna spare you the minor details otherwise this story will go on forever. So, Autumn choose an ocarina (Which is her kingdom’s official instrument) which she used to entrance the dragon with the song called ‘The Flower’s Melody’

“Excellent Performance from Princess Autumn!  Now let’s hear from the Judges!”

“Excellent!” Maya Said “8/10” 

“That was good.” the Queen of the Narwal kingdom said “7/10”

“It’s okay.” Said the princess of the butterfly kingdom “6/10.”

Autumn’s total score was 21/30

Next was poppy who used her favorite instrument: the fiddle. She played her kingdom’s anthem ‘Mayura’s lullaby’ which she used to lull the dragon to sleep.

“Excellent performance by Princess Poppy! Now let’s see what the judges say.”

“So Beautiful” Maya said “9/10

“Amazing!” The Queen of the Narwal kingdom said 8/10

“Wonderful” the princess of the butterfly kingdom said 8/10

Poppy’s total score was 25/30

Lastly was Belinda her instrument was a flute. She tried  to play the song called ‘the serpentine soother’ but she was so terrible she only ended up aggravating the dragon. So instead she just rapidly poked it with her flute. 

“. . . Let’s just... go to the judges”

“That was terrible” Maya said “3/10”

“I have no words” the Queen of Narwal kingdom said “4/10”

“You didn’t use the flute as intended” the princess of the butterfly kingdom said “2/10

Belinda’s total score was 9/30

“The winner of this round is. . . POPPY!”

“Yay I won” poppy thought.
“You got lucky this round” Belinda said angrily. 

“Here are the rules to round 2: each contestant must bake her kingdom’s official dish.” 

“Since Poppy won the The last round she will go first.”

Poppy’s dish was called ‘Peacock fruit cake’ and it was cake made with blueberries , blackberries,pineapple, and mint

“Time to see what the judges think”

“A Peacock kingdom specialty” Maya said “10/10

“Erm.. it’s alright” the Narwal Queen said “5/10

“It’s... interesting” the butterfly princess said “4/10” 

Poppy’s total score was 19/30

Next was Autumn who made a flower fairy cake. Which includes edible flowers, honey-flavored fairy dust, and the usual cupcake ingredients.

“Well done. Time to hear from the judges.”

“Delicious” Maya said.
“Mm.. Tasty! The Narwal Queen said.

“I-it’s good” the butterfly princess said.

Maya:8/10

BP:7/10
