Introduction: Where it All Started
Hello! My name is Charles White, and I live in Plymouth. I was born in Jamestown, but my parents moved to Plymouth when I was 7 years old, 5 years before from now. But anyways, here is my story of our trip to Plymouth, and another story that may be interesting to you.
Chapter 1: A Trip to Plymouth
We went to Plymouth 5 years ago when I was only 7 years old, so I don’t remember much, but I do remember some of it. But anyways, here is my story:
It was early in the morning, and we were going to move to Plymouth. We ate some corn porridge for breakfast, and then went on a horse carriage. We were riding it for hours, and finally stopped at a nearby town.
We would do this over and over throughout our trip, which lasted almost a week. Since we got tired, we asked people to stay in their home, and if they said yes, we would stay there and continue.
After numerous days of just traveling all the way across the colonies, we finally reached Plymouth. We knew one of our relatives lived here and owned two houses, so we asked to live in one of his homes. He eventually said yes, gave us a location, and went there. Fortunately, the house was perfect enough for us.
And since the house was perfect to us, we would live in it for the next five years.
Chapter 2: Daily Living
You might be wondering about our daily lives, so I will tell you about our daily lives! Here it is:
First we wake up very early in the morning. We eat some food, and then get straight to doing our chores, which are the same every day. Our first chore is to feed the chickens, and if we are lucky, collect any eggs. Next, we help the family by grinding some corn. We pound the corn kernels and turn it into cornmeal, which can be used to make corn porridge. While me and my dad go get some water from the spring to hydrate the goats and milk them to make cheese, my mom and my sister, who is named Sarah, dry the laundry, and after that, pick some berries in the jungle.
After we finish our first few chores, we all meet up at the garden. We pick some sweet vegetables and herbs that are ripe. It is great that everything is growing so fresh and quickly, because if we need food, we need to have a perfect garden. Later, we go into the cornfield to harvest some more corn.
My mom needs to cook, so me and Sarah go get some wood from the jungle to make a fire so she can cook.
We aren’t done with our chores yet though! My mom told us we have to grind more corn. It sometimes seems like we are always grinding corn. At least that’s better than having no corn to eat.
After a very long time, we finally finish all of our chores. We play some games, for example, we play “I Call” and “Nine Pin”. Its very fun to play some games after a long time of working very hard.
Now that my mom and dad are done with their chores, we run around in our backyard, spin around, and be silly.
After a long day, we become very hungry. I am glad that my mom made a huge dinner. We eat with our hands, so we have to wipe them a lot while eating.
After we eat, the sun goes down, and its time to finally go to
