Polly was a pretty piglet who won the island farmer contest. She won a big pink bow with white polka dots, which she wore every day and everywhere.
This made Polly very proud and boastful, and she was not very nice. It was a bright sunny day, perfect for Polly to play, so she set off to find a friend on the farm.

Billy goat and his dad, Mr. Ram,
were the first animals she met. Polly did not speak to Mr. Ram; instead, she ran up to Billy and said, "Let us play. I know it will make you feel special to play with me. I am royalty, you know, I won the island farmers contest".

Polly started to boast about her bow and how she is the prettiest piglet, and poor Billy goat could only listen to Polly go on and on about her bow and the contest; they never got to play.
Billy's dad shouted."Lunch," he was glad to say goodbye to Polly and trotted away.
Polly continued along her way and came upon Barker Pup,
who greeted Polly with a "Hello and how do you do?" Polly paid no attention, nor did she respond.
She pointed her snout in the air, and with oink, grunt, oink, grunt, a twitch of her tail, she went on her way. Barker gave a low growl, "What a rude piglet," and ran off to have his lunch.

As she continued walking, Polly met Daisy cow at the field.
She greeted Polly with a "Good day Polly," but Polly did not reply to Daisy Cow because she was the farm's pride.

Polly shrugs her shoulder continued her walk with an Oink, Grunt, Oink, Grunt. Daisy said, "What a rude piglet". And Daisy went on her way to eat some hay.

It was lunchtime on the farm, and all the animals went to feed. Polly Piglet was all they could talk about and how they could teach the proud, impolite piglet some manners.
Barker Pup said, "Let us hide her bow,” but Billy goat said, “That would make her sad.” Mr. Ram asked what we should do to teach the impolite piglet some manners? The animals all decided to ignore Polly and not to play with her.
