Once upon a time, there lived a panda named
Bamboo. He lived with his panda family and
panda friends in a bamboo forest.
Bamboo loved to hang out with his other panda
friends. They would climb up the bamboo trees
and play games like tag and hide and go seek.
After a full day of playing, his mother would call
for him to come home for dinner and to hang
out with his little sister.
He loved his life, but he felt like something was
missing.

One day Bamboo asked his friend Chang if she
wanted to go on an adventure.
"But where would we go?" Chang asked. "I've
never been anywhere outside this forest."
"Neither have I," Bamboo replied. "But I feel like
there are more animals out there besides just us
pandas."
So Bamboo and Chang left the forest in search of
something new.

Bamboo and Chang hadn't made it very far
before they encounter the first strange animal.
Both of them were hesitant to approach the
small fuzzy gray animal, scared that it might
bite them.
It scurried over to them quickly and raised his
acorn back to his mouth to continue snacking
on.
"Don't worry pandas, I promise I'm not
dangerous," it explained. "I'm just a little
squirrel Sami."

Chang was still hesitant to approach the squirrel
or to speak to it but Bamboo bravely spoke first.
"Hello Sami," Bamboo replied. "I'm Bamboo and
this is Chang. We've never left our bamboo forest
or met any other animals so we decided to go on
an adventure today. Could you help us?"
"Oh my! You've never met any other animals?"
Sami exclaimed. "Of course I'll help you and I'll
introduce you to all my friends."

When Bamboo and Chang came upon the spiky
creature, they ran and hid behind the tree.
"Porky the porcupine is a sweetheart guys!" Sami
stated. "She wouldn't hurt a fly so come on out from
behind that tree."
"I only use my spikes to intimidate against predators
who try to attack me," Porky explained. "I love to climb
up trees if you want to join."
They spent the next hour climbing trees and jumping
from branch to branch, laughing and playing the entire
time.

As they continued on their journey, they
encountered many more different types of
critters.
They played tag with Foxy the fox, ate snacks with
Racky the raccoon, swung from trees with Banana
the monkey, went swimming with Teddy the
grizzly bear, sang with Tweety the bird and and
picked flowers with Flutter the butterfly.
Overall, they had a very busy morning.

By the afternoon, Bamboo, Chang, and Sami
made it all the way to an African savanna with
much larger animals than they had seen in the
forest.
They met two large male lions who stayed home
while the lionesses hunted for food. They hung
out with the elephants at the watering hole for a
refreshing swim. Bamboo was astounded by the
giraffe's long neck while Chang loved playing with
the striped zebras.
