Once in a faraway place, there was a good king named Agapay, who
together with his son, Yishuar, ruled very well the thriving city of
Hophos. Their fair palace was in the centre of some very lovely
mountains, and there was the beautiful River Zoay that ran in front
of them. Everyday, they would come down to visit their people that
they loved very much, and the people loved them too. Agapay gave
them rings that gave them the King's special power that kept
darkness away from their kingdom. Because of this, the city was full
of light, and nothing scary could come in. The King, his son, and his
people were like one big happy family!
In their court, there were many people who served the King and his
son with love. However one knight named Beelzu grew jealous of
the power and influence that they had. He thought he should be
king! He began to learn about the evil power of darkness, because
that was the only thing that the King hated. He thought that he
could get what his jealous heart wanted that way.

One day, the people were particularly busy, and they didn't notice
when darkness crept into town. Very quickly, they all saw a large
house being built on the hill at the other end of their town, and soon,
they were all being invited to come to dinner at the house. Everyone
in Hophos dressed in their best clothes and came without asking any
questions, because who doesn't like free food?
At the dinner in the strange house, they were served food that they
had never tasted before, and the new neighbour asked them all about
the king. Each time they said something nice about their king, their
host turned it around and said it was because he was a bad king! By
the time the dinner was over, the dark power in the food and the
words of the host had worked, and the people wanted a new king.
Their new neighbour, who was actually Beelzu, promised to help
them, but they would have to give him their rings that King Agapay
had given them and make him their new king.

So, they all agreed and placed their rings on the table. A large crown
was put on Beelzu's head. Agapay was not their king anymore! Then,
everyone went back to their homes thinking that they had done the
right thing, and not knowing the power they had lost that night!
In the morning, they woke up to find that overnight, the big house
had turned into a castle, and a huge wall had been built all around
their fair city. They could also see the tops of a vast forest behind the
wall. When they asked their new king about these changes, he told
them it was all to protect them from their enemies. So, they went
back to their day to day lives unaware and powerless to stop any
other changes that would come into their city.
King Beelzu began to poison their minds more and more against
their old king. Everyday, the city grew darker and darker, and Beelzu
told the people that it was one of King Agapay's tricks. The city
became so dark that they even had to use candles in the daytime!
Also, people began to disappear and never be seen again!

Poor King Agapay was very worried about his people. He knew
immediately what had happened in his beautiful city, because Beelzu
and some of the King's guards had been overheard planning to take
over the fair palace before they were thrown out. Everyone in the
palace was in an uproar with the latest news!
Think of the worst punishment you know. Well, the law said that the
punishment for turning against the King was worse than that! The
King was a just king, and he knew the law had to be followed or
there would be lots of problems, but he and his now grown son loved
the people in Hophos a lot, and they didn't want to see everyone in
the city punished like that!
Together they came up with a plan that would save the people and
take care of the law too. Yishuar would go into the city himself.

So, Yishuar, the young prince put down his crown, went out, and
crossed the river. There he saw the huge forest through which he
crept as secretly and quietly as he could. Then, he threw a rope over
the wall, and climbed over. He was saddened to find his much loved
city and its people to be very different.
Gone was the beautiful blue sky. In place of it were dark and scary
clouds. The houses had lost their beautiful colours as well and had
now become very grey and boring. Then, he saw the big castle on the
hill, which was dark and scary looking. He knew that darkness had
come into this city, and that the people had not used their rings to
stop it. Now, they were under it's power. The people, whilst doing
the same things they used to do, no longer looked very happy.
This made the young prince even sadder, and he tried to help people
all over the city where he could.

Yishuar went down to the marketplace in the square in front of the
castle's gate and began to help people and tell stories. Most people
didn't recognize him, but many of the little kids seemed to know
him and ran to him whenever they saw him. Pretty soon, he began
to tell the people about how King Agapay was saddened by what
they had done but wanted to win them back. Some people decided
to go back to Agapay and became good friends with Yishuar.
Wherever he went, the place just seemed to light up again, and
those who listened felt happy again like they hadn't in a long while.
Of course, this got him in trouble with the guards out the front of
Beelzu's gate. Remember the worst punishment? Well soon, the
good prince, Yishuar was standing before King Beelzu who said he
would get the worst punishment ever for speaking against him,
and he had him punished in the marketplace in front of everyone
as a warning to others and thrown into his dungeons! Beelzu had a
party that night with his guards to celebrate taking the King's son.

When King Agapay heard that his son had gotten the very worst
punishment ever, he was sad, but he said to the people in his court,
"My son has suffered for the crimes of the people. My son is worth
millions of people! So, there is no more punishment needed now!"
Everyone agreed.
But that was not the end for Yishuar! One morning soon after,
Beelzu woke up to find that the rings that Agapay had given to the
people were gone! He ran down to the dungeons and found that
Yishuar was gone too! Everyone, except Beelzu, knows that light is
more powerful than darkness, and you can't keep a good prince
down! Beelzu was walking out of the dungeons puzzling about it all,
when suddenly, there was a light and he was knocked to the floor!
There was Yishuar standing over him saying, "I've been looking for
you, and now I've found you!" Then Beelzu got the biggest beating
ever. When he woke up and saw his floral underwear hanging from
the flagpole, he knew that he had lost a lot that couldn't be gotten
back!
