Hello, I'm Tuncay. Forests are an indispensable element for life.

Many creatures live in forests. Forests are the home of these creatures.

Iulia Bucataru

Forest fires are mostly caused by climate change, meteorological conditions and man-made.”

Putting out forest fires and informing about the fire is a civic duty as well as an obligation.

BEYHAN SOLGUN

Among the numerous strategies of how to prevent wildfires from spreading, the most effective one is never to let it happen.

Forest fire prevention and control are possible with effective agricultural and forest management plans, alongside public awareness, responsibility, and concern.
Aynur TATAROĞLU

Damages of Forest Fires
Biodiversity suffers greatly.
The habitats of the creatures living in the forests are destroyed.

With the disappearance of living and non-living cover, an increase in the number and speed of natural disasters such as erosion, flood-flood and air pollution is observed.
Deteriorations occur in the climate system (by directly affecting temperature, wind, humidity and precipitation).
Industries such as tourism, health, sports and hunting based on forest and forest products will be adversely affected.
Erkan ERDOĞAN

The greatest negative effect of forest fires is on tourism. Tourists avoid such smoke-filled areas. For this reason, there is a heavy decrease in the jobs of people dealing with the tourism sector.

Wildfires threaten lives directly, and wildfire smoke can affect us all. They spread air pollution not only nearby, but thousands of miles away—causing breathing difficulties in even healthy individuals, not to mention children, older adults and those with heart disease, diabetes, asthma, COPD and other lung diseases.
Oprea Elena-Diana

When the frequency of forest fires in a given area is high, the consequences can be devastating. If some specialists consider fire to be a windfall for the ecosystem (elimination of diseased plants and plants, increased plant and animal diversity, etc.), we must not forget that the natural cycles of forests are disturbed and that some species disappear, while invasive plants proliferate.

Forest fires increase carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change. In addition, ashes destroy much of the nutrients and erode the soil, causing flooding and landslides.
Canan KÜLCÜ
Forest fires are considered as one of the most widespread hazards in a forested landscape. They have a serious threat to forest. Unplanned and abrupt forest fires are a major cause of forest degradation, while a contolled fire to manage and check the spread of unwanted forest fires serves as the action to improve the forest.

Wildfires can have immediate and long term effects on the quality of rivers, lakes and streams. The most noticeable impact of wildfires is stormwater runoff. After the loss of vegetation, the ground's soil becomes hydrofobic and prevents the absorption of water. This inability to absorb water promotes the transportation of debris and sediment into larger bodies of water, further polluting valuable and essential resorcues.
Giorgiana Stoian

In addition, forests are the beauty of our city. If you want fresh air, start by protecting the trees around you.

It should be our duty to transfer these beauties to future generations.
Oana-Olivia NEICU

For sustainable development of forests and to maintain a balance between flora and fauna, go paperless, plant a tree, recycle and buy recycled products. LETS DO İT FOR FUTURE GENERATİONS

Lavinia Grosu

Not only flora but also fauna is destroyed during forest fires. This includes all living things, from microorganisms under and above the ground to wild animals.

From an early age, people must be educated in the spirit of protecting forests, loving nature and the forest. Forest workers should always be on fire and help forest firefighters to prevent fires.
Αγγελική Πατάκα

Filomena Viceconte

THE RESULTS OF FOREST FIRES
Forest fires increase carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change. In addition, ashes destroy much of the nutrients and erode the soil, causing flooding and landslides.

43% of forest fires caused by humans are linked to imprudences(cigarette butts, garbage deposits, burning). They can also occur as a result of surges, damage to power lines or military accidents.
İrina mihai

Forest fires cause damage to both our country and the world.

Many living things burn to death due to fires.
Kübra Didinmez

Forest fires, which have increased in recent years, cause serious damage to trees, vegetation and many living creatures in the forest.

Many studies on large forest fires have addressed the relationship between fire and climate, highlighting the impact of climate change and rising temperatures.

Vintilescu Mariana

Research has shown that meteorological and climatic conditions such as increasing atmospheric instability, rising temperatures, increasing droughts, and persistent heat waves, along with climate change, have caused significant increases in the number of fires.

In areas where forest fires are prevalent, an increase in the number of fires has been observed, especially during summer, dry spring and autumn periods.

Serap Özdemir
A forest fire is a fire that partially or completely burns forests, whether caused by natural or human causes. Fires are caused by natural causes such as lightning strikes, volcanic eruptions, and high temperatures, and fires caused by human activity, such as cigarettes or agricultural products.

Burning of forests causes many ecological damages, climate change and drought are the main consequences of this.

Cristina Toma

Some of the things we need to do to protect forests against fires

Glass and glass shards should not be thrown into forests. (Glass can focus sunlight. The focused light can ignite grass and cause a fire.)

Tuğba Demircan
Barbecue ashes should not be thrown away without first extinguishing the fire, as there is a possibility that the grass could catch fire and cause a fire.

Public awareness should be raised by officials and environmental organizations, and seminars and conferences should be organized on this issue.
We should not light fires in the forest. If we must, we should do so in a grass-free area, surrounding the fire with stones.

Maria Mădălina Cibotariu
Forest fires may occur due to the following reasons:
-Lighting a fire in the forest without taking safety precautions.

Leaving a fire lit without extinguishing it. Especially a fire lit for a barbecue.
Throwing unlit cigarette butts and matches on the ground.

Nilüfer AKDOĞAN
Burning unwanted grass or stubble in the forest or adjacent fields.
Walking around the forest with a fire for illumination at night.
Leaving glass and broken glass in the forest, allowing sunlight to reflect off the glass and burn the grass.
