She was afraid of what people thought and whether or not they liked her, she couldn't help but wonder about what they were thinking, she always kept her eyes to the ground avoiding eye contact with everyone. It always felt like she was in the spotlight 

Unfortunately, Tammy's mom got a new job so Tammy had to move schools, which meant 

new teachers, new students, and a new building. 

Tammy was terrified

As the morning of the first day at her new school approached Tammy's mom tried to calm her down, ¨It Was a  new opportunity to make friends and see a brand new place it could be so much fun!¨. Tammy didn't want to hear it, she wanted to hide in her room where she was safe and alone. 

Today was the day she woke up bright and early but didn’t get up, she stared and her ceiling while trying to picture what school was going to be like, ¨I´ll have no friends,my teacher will hate me, they'll all think I’m strange¨ But before she knew it her mom was in her room to wake her up and get her ready for school. 

Once she was ready they hoped in the car and began the drive to the new school, Tammy tried to keep her emotions in but fear stress had built up and it was all starting to crash down, she cried and cried the whole drive. Her mom tried to calm her down by telling her ¨ I promise no

matter how scary people can seem there not that bad and most of them just want to be your friend¨.  Tammy didn’t believe her mom at all she was too worried about the fact that they had just pulled up to the school. 

Her mom gave her a hug and told her to go to room 404 because that’s where her class would be, so  Tammy walked in with her eyes towards the ground and only looked up to see the room numbers. Her hands got sweaty and she wanted to run home once she saw the number 404 on the door. She used all the courage she had and opened the classroom door. 

Immediately she was greeted by a tall and vibrant woman ¨ Hello you must be Tammy! My name is Ms.Fin and these are your classmates, were all very excited to see you” All her classmates waved and smiled at her. For the first time all day Tammy wasn’t scared she felt welcomed and thought maybe just maybe she´d make a friend here.
