Simone Biles is considered one of the greatest gymnast in the world

She has been doing amazing stunts ever since she was  a little girl

She was able to accomplish this by all her hard work and dedication

Hard work and dedication is what you need to accomplish anything you want to do in life

But Simone Biles had to overcome even bigger obstacles in her life to be able to achieve her goals

Simone Biles had to deal with racism her entire gymnastics career

When Simone Biles was growing up she did not see many black gymnasts on her TV

This motivated her even more to go out there and become the greatest she could possibly be

She would train for more hours a day than her fellow teammates

Simone knew she needed to work twice as hard to be able to get noticed because it was unusual to see a black gymnast

This hard work and dedication to her craft would very soon pay off for her...

In 2013, she would become the FIRST black woman to win the all-around title

This was an outstanding moment in history for the black community, and would live on forever

You would expect it to be all happiness and cheers from everyone after such a historical moment right?

If you were expecting this you would be completely wrong

Many of the fellow gymnasts and others in the world were not happy

They felt like they only gave Simone the win because she was an African American

Another gymnast who competed said, "Maybe if we all painted our skin black we would've won that too"

This is the evil side to sports that they don't want people seeing

This is the sad reality African Americans have to deal with all the time in America
