Today was a very important day for Mickey
and Minnie. It was their best friend day, it's
their favorite time of the year and they always
plan something special. Every year when they
celebrate, they give each other a special
present. It's the most fun time of the year.

This year it was Mickey's turn to plan
what they were going to do for the day.
He had no idea what to do for the big
day. He also didn't know what to get for
Minnie as a present. He was feeling
really confused about everything.

Mickey just kept thinking and thinking. He
tried to think of all the things Minnie would
like. Suddenly, he came up with a perfect
idea.

He was going to take Minnie to the
park for a picnic and buy her a beautiful
necklace from her favorite store. "I'm a
genius", he thought to himself. He
finally had everything figured out and he
was very excited.

Mickey was eager to start shopping for
the big day. He had his list ready.

Mickey went out to go get everything he
needed. He got all her favorite food and
the picnic basket. All he needed now was
the necklace from the store. He was
feeling confident that he was going to have
everything ready for the big day.

Mickey skipped happily to the jewelry store.
The necklace wasn't in the window anymore!
He went in the store and asked the cashier,
"Where's the heart shaped necklace that was
in the window?" The cashier replied, "We
already sold it to someone else". Mickey was
so worried now because he didn't know what
to get for her now.

He couldn't think of anything to give her
now. He didn't have enough time to think
of something else creative to give to her.

He didn't want Minnie to be disappointed
so he thought that he should give her a
necklace he makes himself. He was
hoping she would still like it. He had
hope that she would.
