There once was a 12 year old girl named Sally. Sally was in 7th grade and had two close friends. Their names were Mindy and Lizzie.

 
Sally had Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder(ADHD) and had to spend extra time each night studying. Sally felt hopeless. She was always studying while her friends were out playing.

One day Sally was sitting with Lizzie and Mindy at lunch when a group of 8th graders came up to their table. Do you want to go to the mall with us after school asked Derek?

The three girls agreed and they met up at the mall. The two groups of friends grew closer together and were the best of friends. For two years they all hung out every week.

When Summer came to an end, the friend group knew that Derek and his friends would be leaving the middle school and going to the high school. This made the three girls sad because they would remain at the middle school for another year. 

The group slowly hung out less and less. A year passed and Sally, Mindy, and Lizzie were now freshmen in high school. In high school they reconnected with Derek. To their suprise he was a completely different person. He did drugs and skipped class.

After some time of hanging around Derek, Sally began to feel peer pressured to try the drugs. Her grades were slipping and that combined with her ADHD was making it very difficult for her. Lizzie and Mindy noticed her behavior and interviened.

Lizzie and Mindy talked to Sally about the peer pressure and the three of them decided it was a better idea to distance themselves from their old friend group.
