Shout out to Ms. Lostroh's 4th grade class at Campbell Elementary School!

is for astronaut
These are the people that travel into outer space! They wear special equipment to keep them safe when they are way up in the sky!

is for big bang
This is one of the theories that could possibly explain how our solar system formed many many years ago!

is for constellation

A constellation is a group of stars! Constellations can be seen from the sky, and many of them you might already know of, such as the big and little dipper!

is for dwarf planet

A dwarf planet is a very very small "mini" planet. A common example of a dwarf planet is Pluto!

is for extraterrestrial

Something that is considered extraterrestrial would be something that is foreign to life here on Earth. Often times we hear of extraterrestrial beings such as aliens!

is for food

Astronauts have to eat special food when they are up in outer space! They come prepared with many special space snacks, meals, and many other things!

is for Galaxy

A galaxy is a big mixture of planets, stars, gases, and many other things! Planet Earth is part of the Milky Way Galaxy!

is for Halo

A halo is a special combination of gases and dust that circles around a galaxy! This is a pretty cool phenomenon to be able to see!

is for infinite

Scientists use the word infinite to describe that space has no walls, borders, or dimensions, it is simply a big area of space that goes on forever! Pretty cool!

is for jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun! We sometimes consider Jupiter to be a Gas Giant because it is huge!!!

is for Kepler Telescope

The Kepler Telescope was used to discover many of the planets that we know in space today! Our scientists worked very hard to make these super cool discoveries!

is for light years

Light years are the unit of measurement that astronauts and scientists use to measure distance in space!

is for moon

The moon is what rotates our Earth! It is responsible for many properties in science, such as the tides that you see when you are at the beach! It has many cool phases, and sometimes it appears to be different colors, such as yellow or red/pink.

is for Neptune

Neptune is the eighth planet in our solar system, and it is the farthest planet away from the sun! Neptune is the coldest planet in our solar system, BRRRR!
