Hey! Hey, you! Down here!

Hi! My name is Debbie Droplet.Today, my friends and I are going
to journey through the water cycle.
I know that each of us is going to
take a different path, so come and
see what kind of experience we
each get to enjoy.

Here I am, Debbie Droplet, sitting with my friends
Mya, Jake, and Kelly in the cool water underneath
the cliffs.
The water we are sitting in is called ground water
because it is water that has soaked into the soil.
Suddenly, I feel us starting to move through the soil,
gravel, sand, and rock. What is happening?
"We're moving into the ocean!" Kelly yells.
All of a sudden, I see Jake disappear underground.
Before I can yell, we're out in the sunlight, all
thoughts of Jake gone.

Ahhh!
Jake!
Ocean, here we
come!

The sun is beating off my back and
I'm starting to wish we were back
underground. It is a very hot day
and it doesn't help that Mya, Kelly,
and other water droplets are
squished right up next to me.

Abruptly, I feel myself becoming warmer. So much warmer
that I start to sweat. Just kidding, water droplets can not
sweat. Anyway, I look down at myself and gasp in disbelief.
Where am I?
"We're water vapour!" Mya yells.
Oh, that makes more sense. I feel my body start to relax
and sigh. Everything is totally fine. We are just going
through the process of evaporation, when water changes
into water vapour. That's why I can't see myself. Water
vapour is completely invisible. I figure out another reason
why I feel so much warmer. It's because I'm not in the
water anymore. I'm rising up into the sky toward the sun.

Yes!
We're water again!
Eventually, we become very high in the sky.
Without warning, I feel myself being squished
closer to the others, who are now water
droplets. Wait a second. So if they're water
droplets.. that means... Yipee! I can see myself
now! We have just gone through condensation,
the process where water vapour turns into
liquid water.

Up in the sky, I grab the nearest dust
particle, which is also floating, and hold on
for dear life. I see Mya and Kelly do the
same, holding onto different particles than
me. "Well," I say sadly, "Looks like we won't
be on the same cloud." My dust particle and
others were filling up, forming fog.
Eventually, my fog, now turned cloud,
becomes so big that the air can't keep us up
anymore.

Yipee! We're a cloud now!
