Lily and Tommy have always been best friends. They never walked anywhere without each other. A day was not complete without seeing one another.

They were also complete opposites. Lily was a kind girl that never told a single lie. Tommy was also kind in his own way but he was full of mischief. He always pulled Lily into his plans.

One night, Tommy had the best idea. He would make a day where all he would do is lie. "Liars are cool people and they always get away with it!" Tommy thought.
He would create lies big and small. It would be the best plan yet. He knew he could not do this alone so the next day he told Lily of his plan.

He told Lily of his made up day and how much fun it would be to do together. Lily worried of the bad things to come of this day but Tommy told her to ignore this worry. It would be a fun day for them both.

Lily trusted her friend even though she did not want to lie. She would do this one thing with her friend and hope that everything would be okay.

On the day they decided to begin their lying, Tommy planned a big lie. A lie so big that not even Lily would know.

His first lie was to his mother. He faked a cough and turned to his mother. "Mom," Tommy said softly, " I don't feel well. Can I skip school today?"

Tommy's mother sighed and put him back to bed. She told him that he should get some rest while she and his father went to work.

Tommy laughed when his mother closed his door. He began to think of all the lies he will tell but first he waited for everyone to leave. He was going to leave his room to go find Lily.

Tommy made his way outside and there he met the mailman. He decided that the mailman would be a great person to lie to.

He approached the mailman with a hello and told him a slight lie. "I hope you brought an umbrella, it is supposed rain today." Tommy said.

The mailman made a small frown and ran to his truck to find an umbrella for later. "I did not know this. Thank you Tommy!" The mailman said with a grin on his face. Tommy chuckled and ran away.

Mail Truck
He had fooled the mailman. He wondered who else he could trick. He then began to travel to Lily's house with his big lie in his head.

He had finally reached Lily's house where he rang the doorbell. He could not wait to see Lily so he could pull his tricks on her.

Lily slowly opened the door with a sad look on her face. Tommy was worried Lily had got in trouble.
