Gary got up to the sounds of birds chirping and the sun rising. He knew it was gonna be a good day and he felt like a million bucks. 

    Gary grabbed his bag and headed for the park for an early morning walk. He was especially excited to walk in his brand new shoes.

    Because Gary was such an early bird it was just him at the park, or at least he thought. 

    When he got to the park he found a bench to sit at to put on his new shoes. But when he reached in his bag nothing was there. Gary was shocked. 

    "Where are they" he exclaimed.    

    In a panic Gary began looking for his shoes. He looked high and low but had no luck. 

    "Where could they possibly be?" he wailed.

    Then he saw them. His brand new shoes in the mouth of a goose. The goose looked at him as though it was taunting him.    

    Gary quickly tried to grab them from the goose. Woosh! 

    The goose dodged his attempt at retrieving the shoes and ran away as fast as lighting.

    At that moment Gary realized that the chase was on and Gary took off after the goose. Gary chased him for what felt like eternity. 

    Gary then started to feel very very cold and then realized that they were in the midst of the Arctic Tundra!

    "Well hello sir," squeaked a small voice. 

    "Who's there?" Gary yelled. That's when from the white snow appeared a small little penguin. 

    "Sorry to frighten you my names Pete, Pete the Penguin and who might you be?"

    "Well Pete, I'm Gary and I'm trying to get my shoes back from that Goose over there," exclaimed Gary. 

    "Quack quack," taunted the Goose. Then Pete taught Gary how to slide on his belly like a penguin to get around much faster

    "We'll catch him and get my shoes back in no time!" Gary yelled excitedly while sliding down the snowy mountains. 

    Gary was gaining on the goose  but that's when the snow suddenly came to a halt.
