At the beginning of this year, we mainly focused on geography. For example, we learned about the seven continents and the religions in those different continents. We also learned how the people there live and all of the different biomes and the environment they have. 

Geography

Economics

After we focused on geography and started to learn about economics and how people manage their limited supply of resources, supply and demand, and how they trade their resources with each other.

Government

When learning about government Mr.Vaught taught us all of the different types of government and what people are involved in said governments. He also taught us about the classes in which places these governments were.

Culture 

We learned all about the different cultures, what languages they speak, what food they eat, and which gods/goddesses they worship, we also learned about their traditions.

Religion

While studying religions we learned about a bunch of different religions and their origins. Mr.Vaught taught us about the things certain origins have and certain things they do and don't do.

River Civilizations

The river civilizations were one of my favorite topics to learn about in Mr. Vaught's class. Mostly because one of the river civilizations disappeared and no one knows why. 

Age of Empires/Chinese dynasty

We learned about the 13 dynasties and the different ways they ruled. We also learned who took over who and about the Mongols.

Age of empires/African kingdom

We learned about all of the different kings and one king in particular. We also learned about all of the different places that people went to and what they traded.

Age of Empires/Islams golden age 

We learned that the golden age was a period of social and economical peace. We also learned that many great pieces of art and literature were made during this time.
